AMX 50B stats vs winrate....

I was just having a look at the stats of my AMX 50B. I have only had 44 battles in it, but have a winrate of only 39%.
In all my previous french heavys I have an average winrate of about 52%-53% so its not like I dont know what im doing. My avg damage per battle is currently running at about 2400, so its not like im not dishing out the pain. My survival rate is only 32% but i dont think thats too bad in such a tank. In my 44 battles I've killed 63 tanks so im going more than 1 per battle. Shot accuracy is at 79% so I'm hitting 8 of 10 shots all the time.
What I cant figure out is my stats dont seem to bad I dont think, but my winrate is so low in this tank its not funny. I think its pretty much my lowest in any tank over tier 5. Have I just been getting really bad teams or is it more a sign that no matter how well you play, this tank cant really make a huge difference at tier 10? Can it not swing a battle or be the linchpin for a team like a maus or t110e can be?
Is it really good to have a tier 10 tank that cant do anything more than be support? I know when im the only tier 10 people get angry when I dont "lead" the team, as I try to preserve my little french HP pool and no armor tank.
Whats other peoples win rates in the 50B like vs their performance stats? Does anyone else have a similar situation to me?

And your complaining? Look at my IS stats and you'll see a 24% win-rate, LMBO. I would be glad of the rate you now have, if it were me and be working toward a much
higher rate, if possible. The difference between me and you is that I don't get worked up about it.
PS: Enjoy your climb.

sometimes you just have really crappy win loss on a certain tank. you are a good player, but you have also only played 44 games in it, which isnt many at all. if its still that low of winloss, and you still have that high of damage and shot accuracy and kills, then i would say you have just been having a horrible time with that tank, otherwise its too early to tell

i have a poor win rate in the 50b. the lowest of all mt tier 10s and i have all of them. i also had decent win rates in the 50-100 and the 50-120. i have heard the 50b has the lowest overall win rate for all the tier 10s game wide. i think its because of the weak armor and the higher tier comp. the team plays diiferent when the tier 10 doesnt lead the way. just my opinion. its my least favorite tank for tier 10.

To a degree, the 50B suffers from the same problems the T30 did in pubs; both have punishing firepower, but neither have the armor to be the lynchpin pub teams expect them to be.

Question for you OP - when playing and getting these good stats and being the mobile tank a frenchy is - are you taking on the other teams tough tanks and their tier 10(s) or are you a bit scared of them cos of your lack or armour?
That might be one factor if you were picking off mid table tanks and leaving your team to tackle the top ones.
Im not saying youd be wrong or anything, just a question. Its a bit like E50 medium. Some players like me cant handle it so good when it tops the list - cos its no heavy. Difference is E50 sometimes tops a list but a tier 10 always will

If I am the only tier 10, I will always try and take on my "opposite" number if im in the same general area, but I do not like taking them on if they are not already engaged or otherwise occupied. I find myself having to rely on other teammates to take the heat and depend on tier 9 heavys. I really have less life and survivability than a tier 9 heavy, e-75 takes a lot more punishment than I do and only misses out on 80hp in comparrison.
If Im in a match with more than just me at tier 10, I still try to engaged the other tier 10's, but in a much more support role, and wont be overly concerened if I dont manage to fight them, as there are other better equiped tanks to brawl it out.
Any which way the match falls, you can never take a tank on frontally, peak a boo is a death sentence, and you will always have every arty in the map aim at you because they can pop you in 1 round and to them are a very easy kill.

In my experience, when I play teir 10 outside of platoon, things don't go well. I don't get the support to shape the battlefield like I want, and often that leads to punishment and the early loss of a big tank on our side. As such, I only run T10 in platoon now. That doesn't reflect on the 50B in any way though.

The 50B plays differently than the AMX50 120 I have found, though you wouldn't think so at first. The side armor on the 50B is just sad. It is a full 50mm thinner than the AMX50 120's which DOES make a difference. I have also found that the 50B catches on fire or ammo racks easier than the 50 120, probably because of its much thinner side armor. Finally the 50B's height is just ridiculous. You can fail to make depression shots in the 50B that you would make in the 50 120 simply because the turret is so high.
What is actually good about the 50B? It has great acceleration over the 50 120 and the firing rate of the gun is juuuust right. You also carry more ammuntion than the 120 but I think that is more of a detriment than an advantage.
The big problem with the 50B is that it is not a Tier 10. I don't care what anyone says or what the devs say or what the game says. That tank is NOT a Tier 10. At best, like the IS-4, it is a Tier 9 1/2 (though it doesn't get better matchmaking than the current T9 1/2 IS-4). The fact that it is listed as a tier 10 brings a whole load of trouble. Besides the fact that you are often matched up against REAL T10's, there are certain (naive/ignorant) expectations brought upon you as a T10. People expect you to lead an attack, or they expect you to be able to hold a flank solo. People don't realize that you cannot do that, yet they structure their strategy around it. "Oh we have a T10 over there, we can forget about that flank."
The 50B is a great tank if you can use it the way you are suppose to use it (a support flanker, a marauder, a vulture, or fire support for heavier-armored tanks). However, in most pub matches people expect you to lead the charge or to form the cornerstone of a defense. It cannot do that unless the enemy is reeeeeeally stupid, and don't let people convince you otherwise.
I can't really tell you how to use it for I am sure other people have said the same thing or wil disagree with me. All I can tell you is to trust your intuition. It is your tank. You drive it, you know its weaknesses, and you know its strengths. Use the knowledge that you have gained through personal experience and try to formulate a strategy from that. Don't follow other people's expectations on what you "should" be.
