there is some discrepancy between the start time listed here on the Skirmish page (7:30 am PDT there, 6pm PDT here), which is it?
it is not explicitly stated, but it seems like the fielded team for battle is 7 people. Is it correct?
also, no SPG allowed?

ty for pointing that out there were several variances and they should all be corrected now.

Where does it explicitly state the team size? Is it 5 players with 3 reserves? Neither page mentions it
And points per team? Is there any limit? You give some tier limits, but not point limits.
And what about SPGs? They're not mentioned, are they allowed? And if so, at what tier?

There does not seem to be any total of points for each fielded team, exclusive of Reserves, so I am assuming that it must be 7 x 4 = 28.
The only obvious vehicle of choice for this contest would seem to be the upgraded T-50 using gold ammo. None of the other Tier IV vehicles should be able to compete with a team composed of 7 fully tricked-out T-50's, in particular on an open map like Prochorovka, so this ought probably to be called the T-50 Skirmish Tournament.
In reviewing the early team entries, it appears that Moderators and WG Staff are being allowed to participate, which implies teams with a virtually unlimited access to gold ammunition, which will presumably put teams not using Premium munitions at a decided disadvantage.
All things considered, this promises to be the best Tournament conceived since the Loltraktor Contest.

First of all, 7 T-50 Zerg would be awesome fun.
Second, this is probably specifically designed to be in time conflict with clan wars, so don't expect too many teams that will be using gold ammo excessively at least in the first rounds.
BTW, if the matches were moved to 8:30 pm PDT, the level of competition would probably improve quite a bit.

Teams are composed of 7 players and 3 reserves (as it says in registration)
No point limit.
SPGs are not allowed.
Personally I would expect to see a decent amount of Leopards, PzIIIs, T28s and M5s in addition to the T-50s. I wouldn't be surprised to see some Hetzers with the 105, as that can 1-shot almost anything else at tier 4. So I think the team lineups will be more difficult to predict than it seems at first.

I'd like to join if a serious team has a 7th through 10th slot open for me. I'd be bringing a vehicle that I have a 60+ % win rate in random battles but I don't currently have gold to buy gold ammo if you think that is a neccessity. My main gun is high pen so I don't think gold rounds would make a big difference.

Is this NA timezone only or will there also be a Asia/Pacific version as well like the 5v5 tourney ?

I predict that this tournament will be dominated by teams of T-50s. Prokhorovka is a perfect map for T-50s.
Is there some way that we can get replays of the battles? Will you post replays?

Please lower the battle time to 9:00!!!
This is way to late for east coast players to be playing!!!

Too many time zones to do it otherwise. If they go earlier the west coast players will still be at their day job or stuck in traffic on the commute home.
If they do it later east coast players lose sleep.
I'm fine with 7:30PM PST, 10:30PM EST.

such a hard choice, i agree that the T-50's would be lots of fun, but i would rather like to see teams pick what they think is best and build a strat on that

Hetzer teams will most likely be supperior. Even with gold, those T-50s will have some trouble penning the front. At any distance, it'll be neigh impossible. Hetzer's 105HE would just tear straight throught the T-50s. Practically any hit will be a 1-shot.

We are discussing the logistics behind running an Ante meridiem version, as we would definitely like to provide one. I cannot give you an exact time frame but it will likely depend on the success of this tournament. Currently we're planning for the Ante meridiem Skirmishes to have a team cap of 32. Feel free to PM me any feedback you might have on an Ante meridiem version.

Everyone says scouts and TDs will be the primary tanks.
I don't think so.
1) B1 and it's German counterpart is the only are the only heavies we'll see.
I expect to see a couple.
2) AMX 40 is known to bounce even Tier 7 shells. There is no way you are
not seeing this guy in game, especially when it's fielding it's best 75mm. This
is regardless of it's notouriously slow speed.
3) M3 Lee can be truly terrifying as a top tank and can rip lights to shreds easily.
Oh and did I mention it's superior armor?
4) PZ3s can be pain the butt when it comes to killing them in lower tiers.
5) The T46 Light can be armed with it's truly terrifying Derp Cannon.
6) There are some truly awesome premium tanks out there to be used. Here
is the list of the most viable ones:
B2 Heavy as previously noted.
German S35 - Known for tearing players to shreds
Tetrearch - A tier 4 gun on Level 2 scout that has gold rounds that could
probably pen anything.
T-127 - A well balanced tank with great armor.
Valentine - A tank that bounces very well for it's tier and has gun that
works for it. It's very slow though.
T2 LT - Extremly fast tank that can scout like the wind and has an
autocannon. Even the T50 would have trouble cathing this guy.
M22 Locust - Excellent Gun on an excellent tank, but not as fast as the T2.

I'd love to face an all Hetzer team, Since I play vehicles with a much longer view range I could invisitank them to death.
