Is there an area for recruiting? I'm looking for a team to take me in for the Skirmish.

My team's status is "pending approval" - As I have not done one of these before and am excited.
We have 8 in our team, the instructions did not state the team would be closed once you sent your approval in. Is there a way to add the final two members to my team after we have submitted the first 8 members?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, I had only checked the forum pages for details (like number of players).  It might be best to have all the info here, so we dont have to check 3 different pages to know all the rules.

I'm planning on using the M8A1, my question is what gun should i use on it (i have everything unlocked), I'm currently using the 57mm but I'm not sure i need the penetration for these low tier battles?

We are discussing the logistics behind running an Ante meridiem version, as we would definitely like to provide one. I cannot give you an exact time frame but it will likely depend on the success of this tournament. Currently we're planning for the Ante meridiem Skirmishes to have a team cap of 32. Feel free to PM me any feedback you might have on an Ante meridiem version.

Why a cap for us?  There is no cap for the Post Meridian challenge :(

There sure is.  This Skirmish has a cap of 64 teams.

I also do not see where it says how many rounds a team needs to win in order to advance.  Is it three?

Ah - my misunderstanding! I took cap to be points cap not team cap - still why 32 rather than 64?  We've been getting around that number in the AM challenges anyways ...

Their modified time is updated when I accepted them. So you are seeing the time at which they were accepted not the time at which they applied.

We would likely have a 32 team cap for the first AM skirmish to make sure there are enough teams applying. The AM challenges struggle to get close to a 64 team number, so it's reasonable to expect the skirmishes to have the same problem. If I'm proven wrong we'll happily raise the cap to 64 the following week.

AM is another word for morning, PM being the alternative for evening. While the 24 hour clock does not use such delineations, the 12 hour clock is based upon placing an AM or PM after the time. 0100 is called 1:00AM, 1400 is called 2:00PM. In this context, GeneralDirection is using AM to refer to the tournament which would take place in the morning for players in an NA time zone- the Ante meridiem challenge.

Ah so when will we see the AM version of this challenge? - before or after the 7.3 patch?

Please lower the battle time to 9:00!!!
This is way to late for east coast players to be playing!!!

you'll just have to ask mommy and daddy if you can stay up past your bed time for a couple days. Just ask really nicely with pouty eyes. It'll work for you.

Everyone says scouts and TDs will be the primary tanks.

I don't think so.

1)  B1 and it's German counterpart is the only are the only heavies we'll see.
I expect to see a couple. Gold will crush these.

2)  AMX 40 is known to bounce even Tier 7 shells.  There is no way you are
not seeing this guy in game, especially when it's fielding it's best 75mm.  This
is regardless of it's notouriously slow speed. Gold rounds dont bounce very much at all on these tanks.

3)  M3 Lee can be truly terrifying as a top tank and can rip lights to shreds easily.
Oh and did I mention it's superior armor? Gun traverse isnt very good. Speed kinda sucks. T40 would be much better since its basically the same tank with better gun traverse and a better gun.

4)  PZ3s can be pain the butt when it comes to killing them in lower tiers.Good scout drivers will slaughter these.

5)  The T46 Light can be armed with it's truly terrifying Derp Cannon. Slow firing gun and very inaccurate at even medium range. Anything gets close to the tank setup and its dead.

6)  There are some truly awesome premium tanks out there to be used.  Here
is the list of the most viable ones:

B2 Heavy as previously noted. Good against AP rounds. APCR and HEAT rounds have 0 issues getting through the armor.

German S35 - Known for tearing players to shreds Same as what was said for the B2.

Tetrearch - A tier 4 gun on Level 2 scout that has gold rounds that could
probably pen anything. Good TD drivers will track and kill these before they can get back up to speed to be useful.

T-127 - A well balanced tank with great armor. Bouncy tank but I dont think it will have the survivability of a scout tank.

Valentine - A tank that bounces very well for it's tier and has gun that
works for it.  It's very slow though. Again, the armor will be negated by the use of gold rounds that a lot of teams will be using.

T2 LT - Extremly fast tank that can scout like the wind and has an
autocannon.  Even the T50 would have trouble cathing this guy. Probably the best scout tank for this tier in the game but its not going to bounce any tier 4/5 guns that are on most tier 4 tanks. If the driver is good it can be an awesome tank but it lacks the firepower to be useful if it comes down to needing to get some kills.

M22 Locust -  Excellent Gun on an excellent tank, but not as fast as the T2. Acceleration isnt all that great on this tank. If it gets tracked or stopped at all it will be an easy kill for any decent player.
