Sniper mode is zooming in, and having your peripheral taken by the blackness. It cannot be done in an SPG (although would have removed paralax, and allowed you to see what it actually happening)

You are correct!  An SPG does not have a sniper mode, where you're using the gunner's view.  However, the SPG is not restricted to artillery mode (Left Shift).  The aiming reticle is also available in Commander's View and it also allows you to lock onto targets in that view.  I'm sure you knew that too.

Enough of the SPG tutorials, please.  You're talking to a player with over 12,000 battles and has research up to T8 SPGs.  I'm sure the problem I reported is a result of there being no turret and the point where the shell is actually fired from is not the gun's muzzle.  Plain and simply, the shell's trajectory wasn't going to follow the gun's angle depicted in my screen capture.
