That's stupid, a tier 5 sherman = 350,000 credits.
Tier 6 E8 = 900,000 +
That makes no sense

Yeaa.... Apparently it was far too profitable or something
Now it's the most expensive tier 6 tank and with about average profitability

I still say if I could only have 1 tank the easy 8 would be it. I find it very versitile. It is a monster against lower tier tanks because of its ROF and mobility. But it also can do good against high tier tanks if you play smart stay with groups and do flanking runs. The easy 8 can pen any tank in the game if you hit it right yes that includes the tier 10 tanks. It can fill the role of anything in the match exept meat shield and arty cover. It dose everything else as 1 tank, It can be used as a sniper, flanker, support, attack, defence, it has the speed to react to other tanks on the map. The easy 8 might not be the best tank at anything but it almost dose everything good.
This is comming form someone who has played a long time and plays every country and style of tank. Yes I have high tier tanks but the easy 8 is just a little monster, that can support itself easily.

Don't get me wrong, I love my E8 sherman
The most versatile tank I have ever played, so long as you don;t get shot.

yeah, im not uying the e8, i already have the e2, im just using the sherman to get free xp now here in a couple of days, train the crew members and such. but the amount you have to pay for the tank is ridiculous. it either requires yuo play another 100 matches in the m4, or sell it.

It was an amazing US medium that was readily available and was generally praised both for it's utility and it's profiability. Therefore, since it was a US tank that was performing well, it was hammered into oblivion. No American tank is allowed to perform consistently well in this game. Also, it was a protable mid-tier tank, so it had to be thrown over the hood of a derelict Trabant and raped with a broken broom handle so more people would buy T59's, which aside from making Wargaming money, is at least based on a right proper Russian design and not something thought up by some filthy westerner with delusions of trumping the iron of the eternally great and glorious Mother Russia.

Well, since this thread has been lifted from the dead...
The Easy 8 is going on sale this weekend, 50% off. I'm definitely getting mine again :P

900K little odd for that range but ehh still a great tank. Get into a Platton with them and its even nastier. Add on all the special weekends with boosted credit earnings and easy to get to. Want an annoying grind look at cost of Tier 9 and 10... then add in cost to keep them running painful.

I feel like I'm watching the benefits of owning an Easy 8 slip away before my eyes. A profitability hit in 7.5, price increases, what's either bad luck or a MM nerf in 8.0, and a pen and damage nerf with the advent of increasing shell normalization are starting to take their toll on the old girl. I used to be able to get at least 15-25k with it without premium. Now I'm scraping in a 9k net average, and even *losing* money on a bad loss. This never used to happen, and it's kind of annoying.
As a point of fact, I am now making more on average in my M4 than I am in my Easy 8. In theory the opposite was supposed to happen; the Easy 8 would expand upon the tactics and abilities of the M4 while being more profitable...
So my question is, if the mid-tiered tanks are supposed to be the money-makers, why does WG continually nerf their profitability?
