wonder if we will get it...My son would love to have it on his account.

All signs point to... no.
They removed it from the US Server for strict reasons, I don't know if we'll get the same treatment since the Russian server is always three steps ahead of us.

With the new MM ranking I wouldn't be surprised if they bring it back.

What are the reasons it was removed in the first place?
People kept on buying them and playing with them thus causing this HUGE imbalance to MM. It got everyone frustrated and since it had a lot of frontal armor, a group of Type 59's wolfpacking and charging at you is enough to make anyone pull their hair out.

The player base of RU is extremely larger, so returning Type 59 might not harm MM much compared to NA.

On the right side of that page in the News feed it said May 3 the 7.3 update was released on the RU server. Could we be receiving this weekend? Anyone know what the delay usually is between RU and NA?

Over saturation of matches. You would go into matches and sometimes 50% of the entire matchup would be t59s. This was before the t59 was nerfed, which if I remember correctly occurred at the same time as removal from purchase, which IMHO was a bad move as they probably should have nerfed it first and saw how much of a change that produced.

I think the devs said they would never release the Type again for sale.
Unfortunately, I can't remember where I read that. Anyone else recall that article I'm talking about?
I do hope they change they're minds though...

Devs said that it might go on sale from time to time in NA.
I think that the post above re the smaller NA population makes sense. It IS a great moneymaker and a really fun tank to play, especially in a platoon.

I wish I could exchange or trade my Lowe for a T-59
I have type 59, and recently bought Lowe. I love my Lowe, accurate and priints money like no other. Im making 70-80K per match with Lowe. Since the nerf, my Type 59 on a really good game puls in 60-70K. on average my 59 makes 40K. So, I would rather have my Lowe than a 59.

Since they gave me better MM I make more credits Per game with the Type59.
Before it got higher MM, I played it like the other premiums - grind credits and train crews.
As with all of my premiums, never having a decent crew did not help them with battle performance.
The Type59 I found out belatedly didn't have crew issues ..lol ..so its now all 100%
Hull down and played like getting shot is a bad thing, it performs well in its medium role
The fact it is seeing tier eight and up is great for its credit earning potential.
It can't beat the Lowe or T34 at dealing damage and printing credits, but its much for fun to grind with.
You can easily team up with tier eight mediums and cause some chaose in higher tiers.
Just remember everyone, or those paying attention, know all your weakpoints and will kill you easy enough.
