It is very tough for a T14 to kill any tier 5+ heavy by himself. The T14's gun just doesn't have the penetration to consistently do damage, even aiming at weakspots (if you can) and/or using HE. Meanwhile, all the other tier 5 do not have a lot of difficulty damaging you.
Don't get me wrong, I like my T14. Just don't make the mistake that you can hang with the other Tier 5+ heavies. You cannot. You get to bully the mediums and lights, and the occasional tier 4 heavy.
T1s, KV-1s, and Churchills will usually be able to solo you. If you angle well, it might take them a while to do it (meaning you might be helping by delaying the enemy). But, don't feel like you can go head to head and come out on top unless the other driver is a compelte dunce.
T14, well worth $8

I have not owned or played the T-14, but like you I bought the Churchill on a whim a few days ago and I love it! I was getting tired of all the high tier battles in my big tanks, and I wanted something to train my Russian heavy tank crews with. The Churchill is big, slow, somewhat armored, and has a fast firing but low-penetration gun. I see T-14's quite often in the battles and I would call it a toss-up. Sometimes I can kill them, sometimes the other way around.
So to answer the question, you wouldn't have gone wrong either way, it just depends which specific attributes you want in the tank. Since I have a lot of Russian heavy tanks and only one American heavy tank, I wanted a fun low-tier premium Russian tank for training.
As others have said, the KV-1 easily beats either premium tank. I can kill T-14's and Churchill's all day in my KV-1, plus the KV-1 is free. But you can't train other crews in it without first retraining them to the KV-1 and having to take the penalty on their skills.

Can anybody let me know if they played T14 with the new MM and is it worth it. I kinda have an urge to play lower tiers now.

Churchill is a monster, got mine to 1.93secs per round. Can pen the T14 in the cheeks or the machine gun port. once I make a KV-1 miss his first shot with the 122mm he is all done, I just run along side him and shoot the crap out of his turret, locking it up. Before the KV patch I took out 3 KVs, 1 with the 107 and 2 with the 152. I love that Churchill, heck of a tank.

As I noticed, you are a pretty experienced player........playing back at tier 5 with my Stug I noticed that most Churchill drivers have no clue how to play that tank......

T-14s are squishy, that said I'd like one for my garage provided the box arrives before the sale ends.
As far as comparing the t5 prems to KV-1's the KV-1's will almost always win, the sport model on the other hand is probably even on the squishyness factor as the T-14.

I used to think that before I knew KV-1 weakspots. Now I giggle when I see any tier 5 tank. I can take on any tier 5 tank in the game no problem with a T14 solo or with others at my side.
Driver not the tank imagine that.

I only played a few matches with my T14 in 7.5 so far, but I seemed to have a higher frequency of facing tier 6 tanks, which are difficult for a T14 to handle (even the mediums and TDs). It wasn't a big sample of matches, though, so it could just be an aberration.
I also had a number of really terrible pub teams last night too (hence my abysmal scores) where everyone wanted to lemming to one side, and I tried to fortify the sparesely defended side instead of going with the lemmings. So, I'll need a few more days of playing to be able to tell better how the MM is treating the T14.

Played a couple, it kept the same MM value it had in 7.4 (nothing over tier 6), which is a pretty good place.

So T14 worth buying at 750 gold?
Absolutely. As far as sheer fun factor goes, this is hands down one of my favorite tanks. I also have a crap ton of steel walls in it, it can be a pretty tough nut to crack.

The good thing about having the T14 right now is the sheer number of ELCs means you can wrack up many satisfying kills. The turret speed on the T14 is something rarely mentioned. It is very acceptable.

A well run Churchill will stomp a T14. I have a replay file, that since the update I cannot play, that show 3 churchills dominate 7 T14's, and 3 of the T14's where platooned.
The map was Ensk, and the T14's came as a large group right down the outside road, and me and another church, met them on the road, while the other church was about 75 yards away.
A terrific firefight erupted....After a short while ALL the T14's where dead, and the three Churchills where still in fighting trim.
A Churchill with a 100% crew, with BIA and 100% repairs, and equipped with Rammer, toolbox and vents. Is a fearsome weapon, and the closer it gets too you, the more deadly it is.

The T14 armor seems better than advertized. It's easy to see the good slop on the front armor, and angling the tanks about 30 degrees seems to bounce a lot of Churchill and KV-1 shots. I've already got two steel walls in 6 games, and am finding it a very fun tank.
I also noticed that aiming at the lower front plate of another T14 turned my cross hairs orange, which would indicate that the armor on that section is more like 90-100 than 50mm. Does anyone have an armor breakdown for the tank?

Same with a T14.
I find the two tanks more or less equal. I rarely lose to Churchills. But I assume most Church's I face arent at two full skills.

I have had both, I ended up selling my T14. I could not get used to the gun on the T14, the lack of medium range accuracy was driving me to drink.
I would say that the T14's armor is slightly better, the mobility of the T14 is a bit better, but the gun of the Churchill makes up for those other advantages, FOR ME that is.
If anyone has another computer, with an OLDER version of WoT I would gladly send you the replay of the battle I talked about above.

Well I got one, only had a few games, 3rd game got mastery class 1 for holding the mid of prokhorovka on a defense during the entire game, however that was with me as top tank. Vs T6 it's harder; and even vs multiple T5s is harder as your armour is not good enough to stop the top guns of real T5 tanks.

Just got a T14 yesterday, already love it. Hell I was even being cheap and only grabbed 75% crew for it. I haven't modded it out yet either.
Even so, it's a great little tank, I can see myself playing it way more than my Churchill. It kind of reminds of an M4 with a weight problem...dunno why though. It can bounce a remarkably high amount of shots despite its armor's stated thickness. 30~40k a match isn't bad either :P

I like my T14, even though I don't have a great win ratio with it. If you know how to angle and your enemies' shots are all coming from the same direction, it can slurp up shells with no problem. My biggest complaint is the huge recoil and the "float" when you get hit by a shot... your screen goes way way up and it can be hard to fight against multiple lower-tier opponents or anyone with a fast reload time. Currently using it to fund my grind through the T29 so I can get the better equipment for it and start making money on its own

There's an option to turn off screen shake in sniper mode, though I don't use it. Against stuff that fires quickly, I tend to not use sniper and just hit the weakspots the hard way.
