When I played it, the T34 was the absolute worst. I NEVER saw a game where I was not at or near the bottom. I was one shot most of the time, didn't have the speed or vision to scout and didn't have a gun that could hurt anybody but the one or two other T5's on the other team at best. It was just awful. The INSTANT I got the 34-85 researched, I sold that POS. I only wish I could have burned it instead.

T-34 was my first tier 5 and I played it pretty poorly. I just put a crew back in it last weekend when training was cheap and it is a great tank if you play it correctly. My favorite so far though is probably the T-44.

Yeah the T-34 is very well balanced, i experienced the same feelings tartarus. 
Not my favorite tank, but probably my favorite of the tier 5's.

You guys must be kidding, you MUST be. Unless you guys are using L56 8.8 gold rounds (they still Pen less than SU1OO normal AP) are always in tier 6 rounds (tier 7 is even too much for this tank) and only defend arty from T5Os, T5O'2s, chaffees, AMXTeens, and Leopards
JagPZIV needs a heavy refit, and wargaming should snap to it. l do not understand why they have kept it so bad, for so long.
-Give it PZIII-IV 585horse engine. lncrease its top speed to 48 -> PZIVs speed
-Give it one of the following: Hummels L29 15cm TD variant, L1OO 7.5cm TD variant, or L58 Konisch (all you gold VK36 aces)
-Give it SU1OO view range
-Give it the next radio in the german tree
That would make JagPZIV bearable, perhaps even the ''talk of the town'' instead of it being the worst tank in the game.
0h, about the T34 Med. l am looking forward to it, it should be nice. For such low armour figures, it sure does deflect a lot with that slope its got. Firepower is even better than PZIII-IV, M7 Med, AMX12

Another tank I really enjoyed was the IS, I love the mobility though this may actually point towards me being a medium player that's never actually used a medium. In this case though I'd rather try out the T29 before going back to the IS.

I just sold my T-34 last night 
However, I didn't do it because I disliked it, quite the contrary actually. I worked my way up the American med line first, and fell in love with the Easy8 (as you can see it's my most played tank). Came back to the Russian meds recently to give them a try. The A-20 just might be the worst tank in the game, but the T-34 made the grind worth it. Armed with the 57mm (there really is no other option), and driven similarly to my Easy8, just SO much fun.
Drove it to elite, had an above average win rate in it. Definitely a very solid little tank. Definitely drives much more like a PzIII/IV or an M7 than an M4, but better maneuverability than the Panzer, with better armor than the M7, and a gun that can snipe or put on pressure up close.
Though to be honest, now that I've elited 4 of the 5 tier 5 mediums... I think I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite.

T-34 or PzIV. If the T-34 was a gun, it would easily be a 50 cal and all tanks its tier or 1 tier higher/lower would be enemy infantry 
The PzIV is easily one of the most fun tanks in game imo with its semi-auto sniper of death! =)
But pre-7.2 was more fun. This new MM is crap

Me too! I almost always place at the bottom. Its a medium, dont charge out, dont frontal, dont facehug and just bully tank with it.
Like the t-50-2 but less hated. Scout shows up everyone goes to hell trying to kill it first. T-34 shows up, most often they focus on higher value target.
Sold some of the free tanks I got after running them a bit.....and...
bought a T-34 cause I read it was uber.
Moved the KV2 crew to the T34, paid to get them to 80%
this is like another KV1 and churchill with spam cannon. I like! Tier V fun.
I just slings lead out there awesome rate of fire, accurate, cheap to fix. perfect. And yes, I placed at or near bottom most of the time.
m'eh for some reason its not as bad as being at the bottom in my T-29, or KV-3. Its like being at the bottom in my T-40, SU-85 no worries, die fairly quickly and still rake in creds. The original function of a tier V farming tank...or have we forgotten since the gold tanks?

first five battles, gross about 72K, lost 4 of those 5.
losses around 12K, net in the range of 60K...not bad at all.

How can you possibly like the T-34? it is everything that makes me want to ragequit world of tanks. It has a good gun, but the KV-1 has the same gun on a much more solid chassis, which would be OK if the T-34 was fast, but it just isnt. Which would be OK if it had armor like a superpershing, but it has weak armor too. Not to mention it has (worst of all) terrible matchmaking. Almost every battle is tier 7, or 6 if you are lucky.

Still very good tank; just slightly underpowered.
