[Dissidence]

Doing this because I want to see what other players think. Granted, some of you may have master tanker already, but I'm getting at what do you think are the hardest/most frustrating tanks to "add" to the collection.

This has more to do with than just how hard the target is to kill in game.

It has to do with how rare the target is to meet in battle, how hard it is to kill/well armored, etc. basically everything. Want to know what others' are. This is not meant to be scientific, and strictly as subjective as can be.

Here are mine (I'm going to list 2 but list as many as you want):
SU-14 - For Tier 6 Russian arty, it's the least played. ALWAYS the S-51 instead. For some reason whenever one shows up it's usually on my team, very rarely does the other side seem to get one. It takes at least 2-3 hits to kill this one from the tanks I own, so the few times I've had a crack at it someone else has knocked it out first. Except for that one time on Himmelsdorf the enemy KT reloaded about 1 second before my Lowe did after I'd knocked the SU-14 down to one hit left...

KV-13 - Another tank I rarely encounter in battle for a Tier 7. Not only are they rare to meet (I find more VK3002DB's even though they serve a similar purpose in their respective tech trees), but you'll almost never find more than 1 on the same team it seems. The few times they do show up, I rarely run into them or I'm in a tank I can hope to do little damage (M5 Stuart, for example). They always seem to go the other way from where I go too...it's as rare to fight one as to have a shot to kill one. Only once did I have a crack at it, and my VK3601H bounced the killshot...RNG strikes again...138 pen bouncing off 120 armor...

Edits: due to nefarious necromancy   I have to edit most of this.

For me it was the Maus, T28 Prototype, and T92.

I eventually got the Maus. It was simply a matter of me actually penetrating his armor with 175 pen. Guess what? I got him with 200...yeah VK Ausf A!

T28 Prototype is rare and I mean really rare. Edit: not so rare anymore and a simple kill when flanked...or artied.

Whenever there's a T92 on the other team I always lose, or die before I get the chance to kill him....I also don't get thrown into battles with tier 8 arty often, as the MM is still lenient on me in my IS-4 (edit: which was still tier 9 back then.)

Edit: I got my T28 Prototype, but now have to kill the tier 7 or 8 French TD (forgot which.) It's rarer than the top tier Foch.

T92 is still way too high priority for me to get a swipe at it before someone nails him....or me.

That or this happens.



Friendly arty can be just as nasty as enemy arty, especially the retarded ones

To me, any tanks - I rarely get any kills.

Arty's the most problematic...can't get to them or they 1 shot me when I go for the kill.

I didn't actively pursue Master Tanker until I realized I only needed a T25/2 to complete it, however, it took me quite a few games to finally nab the little beast. Not many people driving them I guess?

For me it was the 4502A and GW E.  4502A was the pain - ended up having to run my S-51 to get shots at them.

This weekend is stocking the server with more T25/2s (one of them being mine).  Assuming a healthy portion of the people who buy it half-price had a T30 pre-7.2, it means they'll have an incentive to get into the T28 Prototype since the most expensive modules xp-wise will already be unlocked.  It'll more or less be a "free tank" to them.

I was hunting for an Object 261 but as the tanks list has already exopanded again i need to kill some more!
The 261 seems to be an illusive kill for me as or i get killed by it (Hunting done by VK2801) or my arty kills it before i can!
Lost a few chances like that but i will keep trying!

T25/2 is also one ogf those tanks everybody else kills in front of me

Before the french came, it was the Tier 8 arties, i don't usually see them unless i take my tier 8+ units out.

when the french came, it was all of them- managed to whittle down the list to a few key tanks when suddenly, the new American TDs came into the scene.

only a few days ago with the death of a T28P i have managed to complete the darn list.

I actually got my master tanker award without realising it & also before I was aware of the frag list.  The French tanks had arrived by the time I found out about the Cache/Frag page & the BatChat was the only non-premium still on my to be killed list & jeez, that was hard work.  In either my IS7 or IS4, i bounced a shot off one that was under 10%, had another tracked one in my sights who was on 3% and another team mate got him a second before I had reloaded etc, etc.  I must have had half a dozen (at least) of those sorts of situations before I got one running down the gully at El Halluf.  I was tracking him & waiting for my gun to reload, & just before it did, I lost my view range on him. I thought stuff it & fired into the "dark" anyway. "Enemy vehicle destroyed".  So many legitimate opportunities messed up & I finally got one with a complete fluke shot lol.

By far and large, the most difficult for me were the T92/Obj261/GWE. I eventually grinded a T-50-2 just to kill those three arties. It does the job well.

For me it was missing just one tank as each new match would come out with even more tanks.  This time (with the 7.2 patch) it ended up being a T28 proto-type that I was having trouble finding.   Only ever saw one; but fortunately, I was in a BatChat and was able to get to him finish him off for the badge.

I had problems with the GW Type E, got several near misses absorbed by tracks/spaced armor.

Have master tanker from before the French patch already but still don't have a T28 prototype.
Only actually got my first t25/2 today.
AMX 50B took quite a while.
10k kills & only have 2* M3 Stuart kills (are they rare? I have a hard time differentiating between low tier US tanks)

Everything else thats still in the game I've got 5 or more kills on.

Well, I missed most of new tanks
For old ones, T92 is the hardest to kill as I rarely see it, and weird, I miss D1 (french tier 2 tank) too

Me I only need Obj 21, GW Type E and T28Prot.
Both arty are rare in public match with a tier 8, or they are in my team.
T28Prot. is also rare but since 1 or 2 week I see more of them, but I never shot once on one, they are always fighting on the ther front, or they are in my team (most of time)

The 3 tier 8 arty and the maus is all that remains for me, looks like i got lucky with the rarer things.

My problem isn't finding them so much as it is actually landing the kill-shot.  I know for a fact that I've engaged and badly mauled at least half of my "to kill" list, but through the vagaries of battle, someone else (especially arty) always seems to land the final hit.

Tier 8 arty, the Maus, and several of the bigger new US TD's are my biggest issues because you just don't see them very often.

Right now I'm missing the Maus and the T28 Prototype. As of next week I'll need to add the T-150, KV-4, ST-1, and IS-8 to the list. The Maus I have problems getting kill shots on. Strangely enough, the tier 8 artillery wasn't a problem for me. I suppose it was a combination of playing a VK2801 and an E-50; I managed to knock out all the T8 arty rather quickly, though the T92 was the last one. If I don't finish by the time 7.4 comes out I guess I'll have a new T8 arty to hunt down.

Edit- just looked at my dossier, and apparently they aren't going to give kill credit from the KV to the upcoming KV-1 and KV-2, so it looks like I'll need to kill those as well.

Congratulations.

The GW-E has been my nemesis for the past 3 patches.  Right now all I need are the M103 and GW-E to finish off the master tanker.  I hardly ever see a GW-E and the few times I have, I've never been in a position to kill it.  Might have to do a lot of T-54 hunting for while.  Missed adding the M103 2 nights ago by one shot- I had him down to one hit left and he got me instead - dang.
