T5 matchup imbalance?

I'm really confused as to how they could possibly think a matchup where one team has 4 heavies and the other has 4 mediums as their T5s is fair in any way? I'm not claiming pz4 isn't good, love the tank. But there is a ridiculous amount of imbalance between 3 pz4s and 3 kvs, why isn't there a force on the number of tank types per battle? There are tons of people playing, so don't tell me it would take longer for matchmaking.

The pz IV is a deadly sniper when you mount the shcmalturn and the kwk 42 L/70, the high velocity 75mm, the match up can go either way between that and even a KV with the 152mm or the 107mm zis-6.

If the mediums don't play like idiots it's typically very easy to destroy an equivalent heavy team. Don't peek-a-boo with enemies, abuse local superiority, stack on one side and roll. If the mediums play peek-a-boo and slow down then it's their loss.

Thanks for replies, I do seem to see pz4s doing well overall more often now that I'm playing more T5 matches. I just "assumed" it wasn't as fair as it is, my mistake.

Okay, here's the thing.
The match maker assigns each tank a point value. Tier 5 medium tanks get 12 points, and heavy tanks 1.45 times as much as medium tank (except for tier nine meds), in case of a tier 5 heavy 17.4 points. So your team should either have more tier 5 mediums than the enemy does or quite a few more tier 4 tanks than they do.
By giving this additional weight to heavies, WG.net pretty much expects them to perform 45% better than an medium tank of the same tier. If the players are equally skilled, of course.
And don't feel too bad if you have trouble dealing with KVs packing either the 107 or 152mm gun, the KV is going to be rebalanced in the next patch. It will be split into a tier 5 KV-1 and a tier 6 KV-2. Only the KV-2 will get the option to mount the 107 and 152mm guns.
