The title says it all.

We've all seen it. The battle starts in Malinovka and 1 side can see all the other sides tanks at the start.

Its been around for ages - and still hasnt been fixed.

Funny how the people who post this have 'seen it so often' but only from the side that gets spotted, not the side that's doing the spotting. I'll argue that every time this happens, the side that's doing the spotting has a forward scout. And I'm going to maintain this, until the OP posts a replay proving this false.

What tier are you playing? Is there a Patton in the game? Does he have every view enhancing gizmo and ability known to man? If you answered yes then that is why, if you answered no then go check the replay.

That 'bug' is called someone scouted you from field. I do it all the time. Perfectly legal.

Actually, I have been on the team that got the enemy team spotted... we had no forward scouts.

Cheers!

While we're at it, fix that silly building exploit that the north team gets.  Yes it can be countered, typically at the cost of a few friendly tanks, but it provides one hell of an advantage to the team that can get a fast scout hugging that eastern building.  I can't recall a single time my team has lost the round when I get my T-50 parked up against that building quickly.  With the flaky spotting along the water line to the south, it's trivially easy to get yourself entrenched behind the building before the enemy has a chance to see or stop you.

This is what's happening, yeah.  Though, Malinovka is still a terrible map despite this because it's next to impossible for one side to get to any real cover when spotted, and neither side can leave the base safely if scouts are in play on the other team.  Horribly designed map...

If not a forward scout it happens with a JT in my experience.
Tall enough to see over the buildings/bushes & good enough view range to actually see that far.

(though looking at view ranges in wiki I'm surprised to see JT is outmatched for view range by a bunch of stuff   I've always remembered JT as having best view range...)

I scout with the T50 good radio binocs etc. all a scout has to do is make it to the center of the field where the bushes are, unseen. hide in the bushes and VOLIA your scout sees alot from that position.
There is no bug

Today in my T-50-2 on Campinovka I pulled up to a bush a third across the field and parked. My binocs and camo net kicked in 3 seconds later and I camped there for 8 minutes while my team decimated the other side. They sent scouts over so I re-positioned myself occasionally but it was the same maneuver over and over.

Then I pulled up next to one of the buildings when the enemy herd was culled and my team took out the rest.

Shots fired: 0
Spotted: 6
Damage inflicted: 0

Experience earned 1,023 (3,069 after 3x). No damage. For parking.

This is not a bug it is you not understanding how the game mechanics work.

Sometimes it happens without a scout. All it needs is a lucky spawn (ie, close to the front) on a tall tank with a good view range and ideally optics/binocs. Because you sit still for 6+ seconds before the match starts, you get the viewing bonus as soon as the game starts, and boom, you get a peek in their base.

Game mechanics are still a mystery to so many people. Seeing upper tier players who clearly don't know them is worrying. That being said, i guess some of the mechanics aren't all that intuitive.

Quit sitting around the base when the match starts. I NEVER get killed on this map at the start, because I NEVER just sit there after the battle has started, and when I leave the base I do so knowing there is a chance of being spotted, so I don't go way up close to the front.

But it's not a bug, you are being spotted. If it's not a forward scout, then it's probably an AMX 13 90 that's doing it.   It has 400m view range. Throw some bino's on it, and you've got 500m view range. Add in coated optics, and it's 540 meters of view range.  500 is max, except the extra 40 will uncover camo skills.   I personally only use coated on mine, which brings my view range up to 440m.

If I'm in my AMX 13 90 on that map, you can pretty much count on being spotted, and I won't be going forward very much.

I'm sure there are other tanks with similiar viewing ranges that do it as well.  AMX 13 90 I'm just on right now and is fresh on my mind.

You don't even need a forward scout.  It's called "Patton" with 500m+ view range or 13-90... There are few spots where they don't even need to be in "forward position" to light up other side.  What happens is that Tank1 lights up by Scout1, Tank2 and Tank3 start shooting Tank 1 and get spotted by Scout2, so Tank4 and Tank5 start shooting them... Pretty soon you'll have everyone lit and no scouts are needed.

More than a few of these mechanics are downright bugged.  Malinovka in particular has some serious flaws in the spotting system and this is coming from someone who understands passive scouting very well.

They don't stack any more.

Apart from that yes the 13 90 is a wizard on this map. It's the proud owner of what i call the super scout award (15 / 15 spots). Basically did nothing all game. Also wins my award for most 'efficient' credit earner. Same map, cruised up, zero shots fired. 900xp and 25k credits - repair ammo costs... zero.
