Wow, Vladmir Putins Neice and Nephew have placed in the finalists
Finally, if the judges dont see a difference between a stug IIIg and a Stug IIIf/8, they sure arent going to notice your amazing stug E100, want to sell it? :P

The model consists of 34 pieces and assembled with a screwdriver. I'm very curious to hear why it is a finalist as well.
I think this piece is a smoking gun. If you look at the model from only that angle, it looks decent. But if you actually look in-depth, there are major issues. Especially fit issues, and unfilled gaps. Tells me that the judges just periused through the pictures quickly, not even bothering to look at them hard or even "judge" them.

I would be interested to get at least a short explanation as to why the chose the finalists they did, think that might help with some of the griping that has been happening. After seeing some of the other submissions, some were amazing, I was not surprised to not make the final cut, mine was, average. Congrats to the finalists who made it.

This entire contest is bull crap. I spent many hours working on my model to ensure it looked like my in game tank. I feel cheated by the judging panel at this point.

chill out guys. its just a contest. you win some, you lose some. contests are very subjective. in other words, an entry to a judge's eye may be good for them but may not be for you. but it is THEIR decision and it is THEIR vote. you just have to bear with it and take it like a man even though you may feel "cheated". i should know, i have been an ipms philippines member and have won and lost contests. i hope you guys be careful with your words cause they can be mean and it hurts to those who were declared winners. just be cool people...

I have no problem with winning or losing a contest.... as long as it is legitimate. Even a close race which a toss-up call went the other way, fine. But one where a clearly inferior model beats a vastly superior one? It's like an umpire calling a strike on a ball that's about 4 feet over the guy's head. (I'm an umpire, I should know.) When umping, I know there will be close calls. Sometimes a dicy one gets made incorrectly. And people understand that. But if it's a REALLY bad call, that's when people start screaming at you.
Let's just say that if you quantified these judging results, and then interpreted it into my umpiring a game, I'd be lucky to be alive ATM.....

Tankboy, this pitch not only went wild and went over the ump's head, it knocked the fat lady in the 5th row in the skull.
