When I got home from a trip I found my KV had multiplied. I knew it was going to happen, but ah, the thrill of learning and re-learning.
Used some extra silver and free experience to get em where I wanted them. (tracks, turrets, radios, etc)
Slapped the 85 in the KV-1 and off I went.
Several times I ended up with the Tier 8's, (I thought they were fixing this for Tier 5 Hvys...) fought well anyway.
Because I had my original crew, I have decided to train them here ( and make a good ammount of silver).
I am preparing to I re-enter the IS series which I did poorly in before learning good Hvy tank tactics.
I played the heck out of it last week-end.
I almost have my 6th sense (97%) and enough cash...
My use of the KV-2? Always ran the 107, will keep it for the daily doubles until I need to sell it.
Was fun to platoon as the KV brothers before the patch... esp in tier 5 matches.
Not quite as much fun anymore.

Finally took out my KV-2 yesterday, I liked it quite a bit and it's nice to be able to carry the derp and not get into lower tiered battles (tier 5 max) where the 107 is the better choice.

If you liked the 152, this patch was great for your KV. If you were a 107 fan, it wasn't quite as good.

Yeah I think they should tier it down a little with the KV-2 :/ The gun is wonderful in higher tiers when it comes to the derp but the chance to survive is pretty low in the really high matches
The KV-2 seems to get some pretty bad matchups. Like bottom tier in continuous Tier 9 and Tier 10 games. Games like that are usually guaranteed death and a repair bill equal to your income.
Despite really liking the 107 ZiS-6, I grudingly ended up going back to the horribly innaccurate, slow 152 M-10 DERP. I was finding that despite only getting 2 or 3 shots off in a game, the 152 was doing more damage. Also, I was getting tired of TIer 9 and 10's that just drive by like I'm not there, and ignore the many shots I'm putting into them with the 107, and then when they get around to it one or two-shot me. Now they take notice and often I can get them to hesitate for a while, which allows my alies a chance to manuever.
Plus the 152 is fairly unique in the game, while the 107 is similar to many other guns.

I always liked the original KV, but I have moved onward and upward a long time ago. I only kept it in my garage in anticipation of the new Russian tree split with the free tanks. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised and that I REALLY LIKE the KV-1. It is a great money maker, with cheap repairs and ammo, and it seems to get VERY GOOD matchmaking preference in tha battle lineups. Many times I have been at or near the top in the MM and have been able to just romp, getting 4 or 5 kills and a slew of damages in battles, even though the best gun is only the 85mm. Although I have a garage full of Tier 8-10 tanks, I have been playing the KV-1 a lot lately, just for the fun factor.
The KV-2 and the T-150 are kind of so-so. They at least get the ZIS-6 gun, which helps, but they definitely do not get the matchmaking preference that the KV-1 does. Besides that, my KV-2 is fully loaded, but it's not elite without researching the 123,000 XP artillery. I have no desire to research the SPG, and I stink at playing arty, so I really have nothing I can do with it since it is not elite (and never will be for me). I can't accelerate crew trianing, I can't convert XP to Free XP, etc. I may just end up selling it.

I like old KV and KV2 now, which has more HP, shorter reloading time, better accuracy. Two replays of those tanks bellows
KV 152
KV2 152
KV 152
KV2 152

Changes to both are both merited and executed perfectly.
KV was head and shoulders above other Tier V's and he needed to be changed.
KV-1 is still, in my humble opinion, the top V heavy, with two very viable armament options.
KV-2 is the old KV, placed in the appropriate tier. It can hold it's own quite well at Tier VI. And again, it retains two good gun options for different play-styles.
Very pleased with the changes.

I gotta say the KV-1 is really fun to play now. In tier 5 matches it's a beast sometimes I can just pop out angle and start shooting with no worries no matter who is shooting back. The 85mm isn't all that accurate but it has real nice pen the only thing that bugs me is the accuracy because when someone's in an enemy's face and I have to shoot over their shoulder from a distance I'm more likely to hit them.
Generally how I approach a battle is I move to defend the most likely avenue of approach and kill whatever I can then once their attack is stopped I go offensive. The armor along with angling really let's me stand and shoot without needing to play peek-a-boo from behind a rock or structure. Against the premiums like the Church and the T14 it's amazing. I can take on 2-3 of them at once and win with 50-70% health.
I'm gonna take a look at the 57mm tho from what people have been saying it sounds fun. Right now im running spall liner and rammer, haven't decided what my 3rd mod will be im torn between a repair kit, enhanced suspension and vents.
