I was just in a game on dragon ridge and when I went into my scope my whole screen was solid red.

Anyone know how to fix this?

EDIT: and now mines too... In a different tank. Restarted tanks and it went away, but this is gonna need a permanent fix, don't want it to happen in clan wars.

It's a memory thing, because adding birds and French SPGs is more important then memory leaks and game-critical bugs.

Tl;dr restart the client

restart the game once an hour or so and no red screens

Have seen it a few times too.  Pretty much ensures you're not going to do any good in a high tier match since you can't zoom in on weak spots.  Have to restart or it will otherwise eventually crash on me.

I got the red screen thing too, I had to "aim from the hip" and it made me accidentally TK an Amx 12t. Then after I died and exited the battle, the game client crashed.

yeah i'm getting the red screen in snipe mode too...very annoying..re starting partly works since it comes back again after a few games..I have only noticed it happen on the new maps. Also, on some US tanks like the t20 their star logo disapears dunno if its related...

It's a memory leak that started when 7.1 came out.  The only real "fix" is to buy more memory.  I had 4gb and was having the problem when 7.1 came out.  I upgraded to 8gb and allowed me to play longer between client restarts.  Also, turn down all your graphics settings so that textures don't take up as much memory.

I used to be able to play with all settings on high and smooth performance.  Now I play with all settings on low and have to restart the client every 10 matches or so.

I've got this as a note to fix the game 'crash' problem,but I'm sure I found it,as I was also getting the red screen issue.
Open command prompt
Type; ipconfig/flushdns
enter
It may or may not help,still sure that was why I searched it though

That was a temporary fix for the login server not letting some people in.  This will not help the memory leak/sniper problem in any way.

happens with arty alot, but spend most of the time in snipe mode..needs a perm. fix!!!

Been playing since, I don't know, last June?  Never seen the "red screen".  I get the occasional client crash, but not often enough to be a problem.  I play with my settings on Med-to Low because of the laptop I play on, but on my desktops, I have most of the settings on "High", still have never seen the problem.   Not saying you folks are wrong... I am saying I have never encountered it.

Started after the 7.3 update.  Su-85b entering sniper mode and nothing but read screen.... some update....worked fine before....so Tech Support...what gives?

This is BS the red screen is getting worse and my clan is stopping play other then public games we are not going into any battles not even company battles till this is fixed. You can not play with out sniper mode and the red screen is spreading to the start up screen and if you tab to see player stats you get red screen as well. Fix the damn memory leak Didn't they teach you how to repair A BROKEN CODE!

Dragons ridge makes it ten times worse.

I am having problems now also with the red screen issue, If they are going to update the game why not start by fixing problems and not adding more unrealistic tanks. I have no right to complain because I play for free but if I was a paying customer you bet someone would be getting an ass chewing right about now.

It had only started with version 7.3 for me. Now it happens every five games or so.  It is clearly a much bigger issue now.
