Does the "New Tank Syndrome" Affec...

Recently, particularly as the 7.2 and 7.3 patches have been released and analyzed, the majority of complaints I've seen have fallen into one of two categories:
1.) My older top tier tanks are underpowered and are rendered useless against the new top tier tanks.
2.) The newer top tier tanks are OP and are making it harder to win.
My attempts to understand these two schools of thought have led me to two implied conclusions that the people who make these complaints (a group which I don't consider myself part of) seem to convey:
Implication #1: The Devs are evil and are deliberately forcing players to buy new tanks and make money for WG when they cant take the grind w/o gold.
Implication #2: My tanks are mysteriously getting weaker as time goes on, while the newer tanks boast better stats and stronger components.
Let me justify these comments by re-iterating that I DO NOT PERSONALLY BELIEVE THESE STATEMENTS TO BE TRUE. I just want to lay out the perspectives as I have seen them, and now I wish to, in part, refute these points as follows:
My Point #1: Some tanks have a shelf life, no doubt. But the more logical cause of this is the fact that, over time, players gain knowledge as to how to better approach a given tank, particularly the highest tier tanks that would pose the largest threat in a given battle.
My Point #2: For the most part, your tanks aren't getting worse. It's the other players getting better at facing your tank (see My Point #1), and the fact that you probably are noticing your deaths more often after playing your tank enough times that you've convinced yourself that you are the master of this tank.
My Point #3: If your tank is getting / has gotten worse due to a statistical nerf, it's because other tanks, in general, have not had the same opportunity to defeat you as you have had against them. Take, for instance, the Bat Chatillon.25t. Before the relatively small nerf (right around the 7.2 release), I researched and bought this tier 9 Med, knowing from what I'd heard that it was impressively powerful. After about 50 or so battles in it, a 60% win ratio, 80% hits, I personally believed that it needed to be nerfed. After the nerf, yes, my stats did decline. But not to the point that the Batchat was no longer playable; rather, it was simply a closer matchup to other comparable tier 9 mediums.
I hope this helps others and inspires them to refrain from ditching their older tanks simply out of an irrational belief that newer automatically means better.

I work on what I have at hand...learning them as they go. Occasionally learn to love them.
That's what I do...up till today.

The only way it affects me is the heavies who are increasingly moving into the one area where TDs had an advantage, their gun. My 704 is still very powerful and I'm definitely forging my way towards the T95 and JagdTiger, haven't started on the second American branch, but I can definitely feel my one advantage slipping away, and quickly.

I just deal with it. If the tree I worked on isn't impressing me I simply move on to another. You shouldn't wory about your personal stats as long as your having fun, its a game. If your playing for money thats a different story and then your public stats have no effect on the battle. It is team planning and comminucation. Individual skill can be offset by tatics and awareness this has been proven many times in many different games and situations.

I agree with one portion of this point; TD's are a whole different story. I guess my intent was to refer to tanks, but I agree that top tier TD's have seen better days, particularly the JT.

I would be remiss if I did not mention my initial positive impressions of the IS-4.... we'll see how this tank plays out over time.
