T-14 - worst tank in the game?

dualmaster333's Photo dualmaster333 May 10 2012

@ OP - I think you must have been one of the many T14s I played against last night.  You know, one of those T14s that went charging through the open, firing shots on the run, exposing your side armor to the entire enemy team before being pummeled into a smoking hulk.

Obviously the tank is the problem.

You forgot the  Lee.. The lee is possibly the only tier 4 tank that can actualy hurt the fucker.. I learned to hate the B1 but not becuase it sucks but becuase its increadibly iratating to fight..

Lol my bad, i tend to forget always the poor lee, its a very temperamental tank, drive like a TD, hits like a weenie against tier 5's, but its unsuspectingly nimble and has above average accuracy granting it good surprise factors despite the size, at the cost of armor.. ahhhh... good times!

Indeed, its not the tank.. it is how you use it

Liking my T14 even more as I get more experience with it.

Last night had battle, 7 kills, 9 spotted, 68 hits (!!!!!!!!) reaper, sniper, steel wall, and still alive and capped for the win!

Finally learned how to handle another T14 and a Churchill.  (You'll face a LOT of those with a T14.)
FYI:
T14 - Hit machine gun in front.  Don't waste time with the turret.  From the side hit high and toward the back.  You can track them, but hard to do.  If you aim good you might not take very many hits in return.

Churchill - Hit machine gun in front.  Hit the turret.  Can track, MAYBE a little easier than T14, but still hard.  You WILL take damage heads up against a Churchill.

To protect yourself, wiggle a little so they can't just keep putting them up the mg port.  But don't waste a lot of time on defense - you have a fast reload time - just keep pumping the shells into em.

My highest exp in a game so far (1698) and highest avg per tank is in the T14.  Great tank, I'll always use it for monies and fun.  I also love killing them since I know their weakspots pretty well since I've played it more than any other.

imho, It's the 2nd best tier 5 heavy to the KV and dead even with the Church.

The recoil is pretty bad when you fire so you really have to pick your shots carefully and make sure that reticle is closed.

I don't play mine much but sometimes it shines, other times it fails miserably.

Or you could shut the recoil off.

T-14 is a great tank mainly because of Matchmaker. This tank as good mobility, OK gun and Great armor. Just need to play to its strengths. Be the target let your teammates to the damage while you spam shots to mess up the enemy sight picture. Angle you armor and you are very hard to pen.

Very forgiving as well armor is pritty good allaround and in this regard it is like a baby IS4.

I have both the Church and T-14.  I do much better in my T-14 than I do in the Church.  My w/r is higher in this tank than the Church and I kill more people in the T-14.  I have a 56% win rate in the T-14 and a dismal 38% in the Church.

I don't know what it is about the Church but it just gives me fits.

In addition, unless in bad weather or a night action without radar, battleships typically engaged at ranges anywhere from three to ten times the distance that tanks did. When you consider that both ships are moving in three dimensions (roll, pitch, yaw) with variable courses and speeds, engaging at ranges of many miles at times, often in difficult lighting and weather, and doing so without the aid of modern computers for fire control solutions, it was quite the feat of engineering, training and skill that they hit anything at all.

The big 16" guns on the Iowa class ships could drop a round inside a 55 gallon drum at 20 miles.  Possibly one of the most accurate long distance guns ever built and the OP thinks they are inaccurate?

On a side note; when an Iowa class battleship fires a broadside volley with all Nine guns it will push the ship sideways through the water a small distance.  That is pretty damn impressive moving a ship that displaces 45,000 pounds being pushed sideways by its own guns.

Interesting, I play the StuG III a lot at tier 5 and I have more trouble penetrating T14s than Tigers, that's just my experience facing them though.

The T14 tracks are black holes, absorbing all matter with barely a shrug.

I for 1 own a T14. I absolutly love it. Its almost invincible in the front and gains 20k per battle. Are you sure that you were using a T14? :)
