i only have the is8 and is4 personally but from what i have seen in battle i have the following to say so far:
i haven't see the st1 yet.
most of the rest of em seem well balanced to me since they don't really stick out to me.
the kv2 seems op for it's tier with that gun. i think they need to reduce the pen for ap rounds.
the is4 doesn't seem much different to me except it's faster. i think it is a good tier 10.
My fav tanks are mediums so to me the is8 is a monster which is good; however i think it has just obsoleted all the rest of the mediums which is bad. It doesn't sit very well that all these mediums i have worked on to grind for a little variety can all easily be trumped by the is8.
imo if u like mediums just give up on what u are going for and get the is8

I don't think the IS8 makes any of the mediums redundant. They still have their place. IS8 is taller than T-54 and has larger lower glacis to hit.

Not too much an IS-8 can do that a T-54 can't do better. A medium tank of the same tier has more armor than the heavy tank, for goodness' sake. IS-8's gun is superior, though.

I think the impact of the new tanks is going to be a trend away from the camp fests that dominate our server, and back toward a more dynamic, maneuver based game such as we had back when Type 59's were for sale.

I would still take my e50 over my is8 any day. The is8's lack of armor and non-existant gun depression dont impress me. Yea the gun has higher pen, but the e50's accuracy and aim time offset the pen. difference imo. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy playing my is8 and do well in it, just agree with Mow_Mow on how mediums are still viable.
