[Crap_Shoot]

So the past couple of days I've noticed a disturbing decline in the stability of my game.  In addition to the random client crashes and freezes that have plagued me (and others) for months when attempting to load a map, now my game has begun simply freezing up as soon as I log in.

This screen is what now likes to greet me upon starting the game:



And it just sits like that, spinning the gear: "Updating Garage".  No amount of waiting ends it, and I literally have to Ctrl-Shift-Esc to open the Task Manager so I can manually crash the game and restart it.  And I sometimes have to do this TWICE IN ROW.

Wargaming, what the hell is going on? I love WoT, but I have never played any other game, EVER that was so prone to crashing and freezing.  And every patch I expect the issue to get better, but it doesn't.  It now appears to be getting worse.  Patches are supposed to IMPROVE game stability, not wreck it.

FYI, my computer is fine, my graphics card is fully updated/whatever, and I've tried reinstalling the game in the past (to no avail), so I don't expect a new reinstallation to fix this freeze issue, either.  And no other game ever gives me this kind of crap, so I really doubt it is a problem on my end only.

This is geting ridiculous.  I think I'll hold off on buying any more gold until this crap gets fixed.

I have had a few CTD's a day since 7.3 came out.  Not too happy about it.  Vanilla install.  Previously I would get maybe 1 CTD a week.

I seemed to crash/freeze once or twice a day, but haven't experienced anything yet since 7.3 (knock on wood).

I started my own post on this very topic and although I am sorry to see you are also having issues, I am glad to see I am not an isolated case.  My issues started when the 7.3 patch came out.  Before the patch, no issues at all.  After the patch.....constant freezing.  I have to do the same thing as you.....log out and back in to get playing again but after a few minutes it freezes right back up.  Doesn't matter whether I am in a game or in the garage it freezes up the same.  Like in your case, the issue is not my computer which is 4 months old with an excellent processor and graphics card.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and now I have more issues.  I seem to have lost all of my tanks with the exception of my T110.  They are just gone from my garage.  Yet when I go to the tank buying screen, they are not available for me to purchase which indicates that I own them.  So I have no idea whats up.  I had an elite Chaffee, Patton, T20, T110 and an M12 which I was working on upgrading.  Now I have just the T110.  What gives????

I've had a lot more "red screen sniper mode" and CTD either during loading a battle or mid battle since 7.3....

same thing happened to me on the tank thing. ended up i had installed a disc version of the game and it was euro i guess. Had to uninstall and dload the right one

What i've seen is that sometimes like that when its acting slow moving around the garage or coming back to it the memory usages is pretty damn high for what it should be using. Actually when the game crashes most of the time it is using a ton of memory, I really wonder if the CTDs have to do with a memory leak that they either dont know about or are unsure how to fix. I can log into the game, leave it sitting at the garage and it will eventually crash without doing anything due to memory slowly building higher and higher.

This usually happened to me when I threw in some bad model files for my tanks.  The game couldn't load them because they files were misnamed. I'd recomend reinstallying old mods, and making sure everything is vanilla before running the game.

That would work if I had ever modded this game, but I never have.

have to say ever since the 7.x series patches the performance has steadily gone down every patch.  The lag gets worse every patch also.

I gave up today before finishing my daily doubles. My ping was through the roof. Normally it's 30-35 which is pretty good, but I was getting games where it was over 100 the entire time. In my T29 I shot and tracked an enemy T29 for full damage. I watched the tank spin out and turn, and take damage. Then I watched it repairwarp forward and keep coming after me. Then I watched it warp back and be tracked. Then I shot it again for damage, and got finished off, and suddenly the tank was behind me.

Can't play like that.

I've also had the random crashes. Only once when the map loaded, but several times at the load-in screen since 7.3 went live.
