Great tank wizards, I have IS7 and Is8 and IS4, so its not a grind i'm after (unless KV4 is worth something) But I don't NOT have any lower tier tanks and have been asked to Plat up on many T5-T7 battles
.
What would you recommend keeping as a good 2 good mid tier tanks which make $$

if your running the Russian tank line only, then I would recommend the KV-1, T-50-2, SU-85, SU-8 as they are all tier 5 and fun to play, and will make & save you credits... but IMO any tier 4 is better as far as making credits and keeps you out of high tier battles most of the time

I would keep the KV-1 from a credit earning perspective. Lower repair costs, cheaper ammo, better MM, and it just plain kicks tuchus.
The KV-2 without the derp is an undergunned little pig and with the derp you have to roll to the front to get your credit-earning damage in as it can't hit the broadside of a barn at 100 meters. The KV-1 is far more versatile and with the 85 or 122 you can deal real damage across the map when you're in higher tier battles and not get one-shot smoked by some tier 8 that you run into around a corner.
If you're looking for a solid tier 5-7 tank for platooning, then I would go with the KV-1s. Fast, good gun, decent armor, high versatile tank that can fill a number of different roles.

Honestly, KV-1S. No one else has recommended it, I have a threat in this forum that has a replay of me dishing out some real pain with it.
Tier 6....and can do 480 damage. That is 3 shotting an American T7 heavy, the T29.
It is mobile as all hell, it can move 42 and KEEP IT at that speed even on muddy ground.
Although its hull is made of kleenex, the turret is a different matter. I have bounced Lowe shots, T110 shots, m103 shots, you name it and they have bounced off of my little turret. 100/100/100 armor is awesome on it, along with being so low down to the ground it's just fun.

KV-1: Derping for a lot of cash with 122mm, or shredding lower tier tanks with the 57mm. Only 4k for repair. A complete troll tank
KV-2 with 152mm gun: Derping for more cash than the KV-1, but with 6k for repair.
M4: Seems useless, but it cost only 2k for repair, and actually can do something with the 105mm derp gun. Also try platooning with another M4 of any varient and do the "Dual Turret Sherman" trick, it's fun as hell.
Anyway, DERP rules!

SU85. nothing can compare to the 107 at tier 5 now.
T29: a monster. the tiger P is also a decent choice if you like the long 88.

KV-1 is good for tier 5. I like my T150 as well, you can mount the 107 from the KV-2, but you have a smaller profile turret, and can traverse faster
