to my surprise
after getting over the shocking transition from the supermobile T18
i'm not hating the T 25/2

i notice the second gun has only a nominal increase in performence
10 more penetration i think

it looks different though, longer with fenestrated thing on the end
are there less tangible benefits to this?
greater muzzle velocity, less flash, less recoil?

thanks

Not as far as I can tell. The stats on the second 90mm say that it could have a better rate of fire, but it doesn't, as far as I can tell. The shell velocity seems the same or similar.

personaly i dont like the t25/2 in one way it still has a 90mm connon but the next td the t28 prototype is pretty good but overall i would go to the t25 at because it get a better cannon and the t95 is the last td and that td is a very hard to pen td with a great cannon

T25/2 is probably hilarious with gold rounds.  258mm penetration :D

Both 90mm guns seem very similar to me - beyond the 10mm pen difference and the visual models of the gun, I would not be able to tell the difference between either of them.

This tank works well, here is a excellent replay, that resulted in a loss but still almost 1k xp and 40k credits....

PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW TO USE YOUR 25/2 ... it pens just fine!!

The extra pen is only a modest improvement, but this TD needs all it can get.  Without the 105, you need every advantage to remain viable.  It is worth getting then throw a rammer on board.

The T25/2 is a totally uncompetitive TD.  Every single other TD in the game has a substantially superior gun, most tanks have superior guns as well,  So what do you get for a wimpier gun, fewer hp, less agility, and less armor in this TD?  Absolutely nothing.  This is a TD to skip until the devs decide to bless it with something approaching a TD gun.

Update for me...I've got 49 battles to date (not a lot granted) but with a 51% win rate.  I'm starting to learn some things to like about the TD.  The gun needs more alpha damage, but the pen and ROF are decent.  Big plus...not having to break camo to track a tank or re-target to another tank.  Also the gun accuracy is sufficient to play long range sniper if your team spots for you.

I'm grinding the T25 AT at the same time, so I do love the 105mm damage.  However, the 25/2 with some patience is bearable, even enjoyable at times.  I'm playing sniper in my PzIV too, so the playing styles are somewhat similar just in a different tier battle.

Best battle to date was the 25/2 at top tier supported by a couple of mediums.  We turtled up when we met a KV3/12T/some medium on a flank.  Killed them, then proceeded to work our way to cap.  The mediums spotted and took the first hit from the enemy; with the 25/2's speed, I could stay right behind and deliver a blow while they were reloading.  After initial contact, the mediums would continue to buzz around while I hacked away at the enemy.  Focused fire was a key to winning.

After I upgrade to the second 90mm I really started loving this TD. Yea comparing the two guns there isn't a big difference but I tell you after using it a while it just feels like a bigger gun...cant explain it. Some games this gun just does amazing things against high tier tanks, tracking is a dream with the new gun. If I can find a good spot for camo I just fire away nailing anything I can see, track this one damage that one track the other again. And I have fired gold from it I wasn't to impressed, only did it cause it was on sale last weekend. If you angle this thing in close combat you can take a beating as I had an IS chase me down last night and beat him with 100 or so HP left...even bounced a shot from a Jagtiger one night.

I will keep this TD when I research the 28 prot, with some upgraded crew skills I can see this being even more fun to play.

This TD seems totally unremarkable.  I would love another engine with say...50 more HP..then it would have the mobility it should.  The gun is ok...I thought it was  an AT version of the pershings, but alas, even that is not true
:(.

Overall, its not bad for a T7 TD, just slightly undergunned.  But to go from the M18 to this is a sad panda day.

I actually like mine.  Not sure if I want to move on to the Prototype or not due to the lack of speed.

Nothing remarkable, but it is consistant.
