Hey guys,
I know the wait has gotten a bit ridiculous, so to tide you over in the meantime, I have rebuilt the AC5 pack from scratch so that it properly functions with the current version of the game. There are no new clips in the pack currently, but I have drastically reduced the filesize and organized it a lot better. Quality and quantity updates to it shouldn't be long in coming. I'll be updating the first post shortly, but in the meantime have a link here: http://www.mediafire...zhr1h1i9mar15lq
In other news, I've also made some changes to the music pack. See the first post shortly for that link.
Music Pack updated to v2.4 (0.8.7)
Spoiler

hey they changed the hanger music from the music.fsv

Yes, the 8.8 patch separated the hangar music from the music.fsv, so it will need to be redone for anyone who uses music mods.
I'm still looking to see what changed in the voice files, but FF14 has been keeping me busy. lol
Also kinda hard to keep up with these updates when the NA cluster is the last one to get them...  I don't want to use the test client files either in case they changed it between the test and release.

Awesome, excellent work with this mod.  :honoring: Definitely going to continue using this sound-music mod, and looking forward to any future updates.

I do have one question though, how did you get the sound files? If you retrieved the files yourself then I would guess that AC:AH is the easiest to get the sound files for since it has a PC release but the others would seem...complicated to crack. I know there are ways that you can transfer audio & music files from PS1(supposedly the easiest to crack) & PS2(more complicated than the PS1) discs but my tries at getting into these files have been futile.

I own all of the soundtracks, but the voice files are more complicated. In the past I've actually just recorded from a microphone I have while I played on my TV and then filtered after recording with adobe audition (worked out very well for AC4, not as well for 5). Now I actually have an adapter that lets me connect my PS2 to my PC, so I'm slowly rebuilding the AC5 pack from scratch at a higher quality.

As for next patch, I have been told that victory and defeat music in particular will be broken, but so far I haven't been told of any voice problems.

Both voicepacks should still be working fine with 8.8 as long as you do not select "use national voices" in the options menu.

Hangar music is currently nonfunctional in the music pack, but everything else is still working. I'll fix this as soon as possible.

Ace Combat 4 voicepack updated to v1.7- I just fixed a bunch of weird bugs that were on my to-do list, including removing that random Megalith: Agnus Dei track that snuck in from the music pack.

Until I get the hangar music fixed, please use the music event script from the following topic to get the music pack fully functional again:

The voices for being hit become invalid under 8.10, please check.

Hmmm, they didn't in my experience. I'm not playing at the moment due to my lack of premium, but I'll be tinkering with this this weekend.

I also have gotten a bunch of requests to update my old DBZ Abridged voicepack - as long as my template still works with 8.11, I'll be doing that too.
