the Is-8/T-10 ingame is a stripped down/early version of the real T-10. The real T-10 had 42kph speed, 250mm turret, D-25T gun, and 130-140mm front hull armor, and 100mm+ side and rear armor.

the T-10m was an updated T-10, with more advanced items like a infra-red vision, a much improved gun stabilizer, other electronics, and the M62-t2 122mm gun.
-----------------------------------
The Is-6 could replaced the is-8 for tier 9 under the is-7.

I know this is odd, but Im at odds with the "fake" T-10 ingame and the real T-10. the real thing was slower, but much more armored.

I also know the is-6 is PLANNED to be premium. the is-6 WAS supposed to be the tier 9 under the is-7, until it was decided they could release it as a premium tank, and the stripped down T-10 rather hastily replaced it.
----------------------------
also this is more historical as well. The ingame is-4 is alot faster than in real life, and never had anything but the d-25t 122mm. they made 200 and its speed was major problem. in comparision, they made THOUSANDS of the T-10 and T-10m.

Your T-10m has..

42kph speed, 250mm turret, M62 gun, 130-140mm front hull and 100mm side and rear.

IS-4 has

43kph speed, 250mm turret, M62 gun, 140mm front hull, 160mm side hull and 100mm rear.

Ermm.. So how is the T10m better than the IS-4? Or how is the IS-4 a stripped down version of the T-10m?

Oh I see now, Editing your post to cover up :)

Im not saying its better.

the is-4 is buffed ingame with stats improvements, especially the speed and a"fake" gun it never had(the m62-t2 122mm).

the "old" is-4 is more accurate than the current one, minus the 130mm or bl-9 122mm.

So what? it is a game... the E100 was not built, the Tiger never used the long 88, the Panther did not mount the short 88. The 150 L70 did not exist....

IT is a game.

:)  Very true, although the King Tiger did use a Long Barrel High Velocity 88mm. :P

before talking about "that tank in real life is ...........", remember, almost half of tanks in-game is prototype, blueprint-existed only, or even fictional. If you want the game to be exactly like "history", you'll have to remove all these tanks. Also, your tanks cannot have any upgrade. Because according to "history", these tanks never have those equipments. For the love of god, this game is not a stimulation game. Stop bringing out "history fact" to bash it

You're proposing advanced optics which is surpasses the "analog" feel of the game and the spirit of the tank lineup that's in place.

With the later T10 available, you're opening the door for the Object 279 WITH it's optics implemented, and the Leopard L1A4 or later which is counterproductive to those of us pushing for infancy MBT's such as the afformentioned without optics or L1A3 which are still of an analog design.

hmm good point. IF you dont allow things like the Infra-red, the real t-10m could work fairly easily. all the sights of the advanced 1950s+ tanks arent allowed already, like the m103.
------------------
but I need to point out that the is-8 ingame has the T10m parts. The turret, gun, and engine are of the T-10m already. The T-10 ingame is basically the early model Is-8/T-10 fitted with late T-10m equipment creating something of a "chimera" tank.

other ingame tanks have something similar, but they are late model vehicles. The Panzer 4 for example is close to the late model Ausf G, so having late war design/experimental equipment is OK.

If you had the early panzer 4(with 20mm armor) using the schmaultturm turret, I would call BullS^&*.

Ingame the is-4 has equipment from the T-10m, mainly the gun, which it was never fitted for, as it failed before they were being designed.
