I have a 100% skill + a 25% and if I drop them at the 90% buy back rate, I only get credit for 96%. I would think I would get (100% + 25%).9 = 112%.
I have another crew member which has 100% + 100% + 57% and buyback at 90% gives me 100% + 99% credit, where (100% + 100% + 57%).9 = 231%.
Why are my results different from the games results?

it's not 100% and 25% it is X total points - 10% and the % is not linner. it takies more point to go from 40% to 41% the it to go from 1% to 2%

Because the advancement of skillage is not linear. For example your 125% crew the exp needed to go from 99 too 100 is more than what is needed to go from 1 to 2 so it turns your percentage back into the exp you used to get there, takes the 90% penalty and then convert it back to percentage.
