Is it possible for someone to make a tool that would allow one to view replays from previous patches? Looks like we won't have that availability again through Wargaming's side at least for a while if at all.

Basically, WoT is able to run old replays. Problem is in changed tanks, replay with Tier 9 IS-4 will cause error to game with Tier 10 IS-4. I think it would be possible, by small modification of game data files, to force old tanks into game, I will try it as keeping all old version on disk is a bit problematic.

Call me ninja from now on. I actually made it at first attempt.
All you need to do is to replace "res\scripts" directory. I didn't bothered to find out which files you need and which you do not as this directory weights just 5 MB. So no digging, just copy it whole.
1. Go to your WoT 7.3.
2. Go to res directory.
3. Backup current scripts directory.
4. Go to your WoT xxxx
5. Go to res directory of old WoT.
6. Copy old scripts directory.
7. Put old scripts into current version of WoT
Remember to revert it back if you want to play or watch current replays.
If I will be bored today I will write program that will detect replay version and change files accordingly to it.
For diggers: scripts directory contains item definitions, basically what made problems was IS-4 with S-70 while it was not possible according to 7.3 item definitions, also HP and speed was different in the past, but as S-70 still exists in game files there was no problem to just put script that contains Tier IS-4.
Disclaimer: I only tested 7.2 replay with elite IS-4 and it played without problem in WoT 7.3 after file switch. No other versions and tanks were tested.

You just keep every single one on your disc. Sadly there is no direct download available from WG. I can upload files from my old installations. It will take few seconds.

Darn I can't get 7.1 to work >.<
Edit: I can only get 7.2 to work, 7.1 just crashes immediately as the login screen hits and 7.1.1 loads up to the battle screen but doesn't actually get into the match.
Double Edit: If I use 7.1.1 for 7.1 replays it also gets to the battle loading screen and loads, but doesn't actually get into the match either.
Triple Edit: I managed to install a 7.1 version and got my replays to work that way, so atm I'm satisfied. However for the future it would be nice to have this functionality without having to change scripts and/or have multiple versions. :(
