great, we got 6 mm armor on a medium

It's a tier 1 tank, makes absolutely no difference at all

They can all smash each other to pieces already, none of them have enough armour to stop each others guns.

Giving it a medium tag is nominal at best, honestly, there's going to be zero genuine difference in the way the tank performs compared to its competition. They're all slow, they all have pop guns, they all have armour that doesn't stop pop guns. Complaining it has 6mm of armour instead of 12mm as a tier 1 is just silly.

Anyone else notice the ridiculous weights given for the Crusader and Cromwell?. 50 tons....I presume that it the weight of two tanks. At that weight they wont be able to even move at the speed of a syphillitic ant or is this to 'balance' the game?

Cromwell's weight is 28Tonnes and Crusader is about 19tonnes. WG probably just made an error

I hope so. It's quite a big error.

looks awesome. Judging by the fact that the 3 original lines are near complete, I'd say the British will be here within 4 or 5 patchs, so half a year ruffly. but that's just a wild guess...

It's my guess that the firefly will be featured in a second medium line.

The British tanks will be interesting, hopefully they do something to factor in that the British mediums were generally VERY poorly armoured until the Comet came along and even that was not spectacular. And most british tanks were also woefully undergunned with a 6lber being the heaviest again until the Comet featured.

What do you think the British tanks will bring? Speed and the ability to fire rapidly on the move to compensate for poor armour and the need to flank in most cases?

the sentinel will be well armored for its medium tiers.

the tier one seems to have a really good gun for that tier despite the poor armor

The Brit cruiser tanks will be VERY maneuverable, while they were poorly armed.  All of the cruiser tanks were what would be termed "light mediums" in the game.  The Crusaider was very fast and maneuverable for the time, but the 2 Pdr (40mm) QF gun was poor, which is why the Mk III was upgunned to the 6 Pdr.  The Cromwell was initially armed with the 6 Pdr QF gun, it was up armed to the 75mm M3 US gun.  When it was 1st introduced in 1942, it was as good as any tank in the world...by the time it was deployed in sufficient numbers (1944) it was poorly armed and armoured.  That's why the Comet was developed.  It was to be the equal of the PzKw V (Panther)...and was, though it could use some more armour.  Only with the advent of the A41 that British tanks could meet any country's tanks on more than equal terms.

The FV215 (130mm) or to be more precise, 133mm, is a fictional-ish tank. The gun it mounts would be the QF 5.25inch gun, and is basically the FV215b minus the 183mm. The FV215 was intended to be able to destroy any tank after any range. After examining conventional guns, the designers decided on a 183mm cannon that would fire primarily HESH rounds. With HESH rounds velocity has very little effect on their penetration, giving them a penetration at maximum range almost identical to that of it point blank.

I believe the FV215a (which is what I'll refer to it as from now on) is wargamming's projections of the FV215 built around a more conventional gun, intended to fire AP rounds. The gun will likely have similar performance to the Is-7's.

I still think they should have used something else, like the FV4201, or Chieftain prototype, with L1 120mm (already in-game and main gun of the Conqueror, M103 and T110E5), with 56 tons, a 700 HP engine, nothing special with the armour, and okay to poor mobility.

That would be the ideal tier X heavy tank, unlike a fictional version of a tank destroyer.

Thanks for the info, but how is that possible? o.O

Is it just me, or is the tier 1 a medium tank?

Lol NONE of the low tier british tanks are worth a pinch of piss...they all have around 15mm of armor Cruisers, Crusaders, Vickers...they could AAALLLL be T1 and it wouldnt be OP....even the Crusader III, it looks cool as hell but its armor is like what? 30mm at its thickest? I dont see how the BRITISH tree is going to be one known for its ARMOR while the US line isnt....none of their tanks, short of the T10s have any armor at all..hell, if Men of war is correct, even the CENTURION is paper...167mm turret, 76mm hull...PUHLEEZE that is NOT good armor...While the M103 is stuck here with 127/127/203 and what not and yet it cant stop an M1A2 76mm Frontally...

So, the Vickers medium being T1...its nothign to worry about.....it has a 50caliber as its main gun I think lol.
