Hello tankers,

This is the place to discuss one of the two new combat modes for 7.4: "Encounter."

This new combat mode will be randomly activated for the following maps: El Halluf, Murovanka, Steppes, Ensk, Himmelsdorf, Ruinberg, Malinovka, Sand River, and Siegfried Line.
In this new mode of play, again there will only be one base, with both teams fighting for control of the base, or shooting down all enemy vehicles to win.

From what I read of the description, this is what most other games would call "King of the Hill" if the players only had one life, correct?

So this will likely be the game mode used for "encounter" battles in clan wars I reckon.

sory to say but forcing these modes on us in Randoms is a bad idea..

I see more afk/ rage quitters due to them not wanting to play the particular mode...

dont we have enough of these because they hate the maps..   now they can also hate the battle modes too!

i see more and more gimped teams due to quitters incoming with the patch.

The mode sounds awesome, but i think it should be optional to choose whether to play it or not.

What's this "randomly activated" crap? Give us the new game modes as a selection. Your only a year late on deploying this and now it's going to be random?

First people complain about not enough game modes, then, when two more are implemented, they find something else to whine about?  I'm actually excited about how it's random.

it is good they are finally putting in new game modes, but at the same time, that should be an option to choose that style of gaming.  give the players an option as to how they want to play the game

The problem with making new modes selectable is that it further increases the number of queues. I for one would not like to sit in secondary queue with fewer players because most people are in Random or TC queues.

You really want this game to turn like many shooters where almost everyone flocks to certain game modes/maps and leave the rest to dry? Giving the option to choose would only split the players base into small factions that would no longer fight each others.

that would be fine, I will just pick the modes where tier 10 isn't the default battle tier so I can finally enjoy my tier 7 and below tanks.

Vallter you can pass on my wish for the devs to put in 3 tier battle spreads eh, NA server needs it, and we all know it.

i see that at least 2 people like having AFK's and rage quitters on thier team..  why anyone likes these people that wont contribute is beyond me...

but lets  face it..   yes you will see more of them..  it's the sad truth..   someones prolly not gonna like the new modes and quit the match everytime they get one..  

i'm just the one thats gonna come right out and say it..

If they both reduced the tier spread of mm AND made made these modes random I would be ok.  But if they aren't going to reduce tier spread OR make modes selectable then the odds of sitting in a queue for more than 2 seconds is low.

Just played a battle on El-Halluf.

Respawns were a bit strange:

And common tactics did not work well. Had to retreat and died in the city:
