Intentional Drawing = DQ

Intentional Drawing is  a strategy. When we go up against a team composed of SMIP or players from top clans WHY would you push against them? ANY one would know you fight on your strength not the enemy's strength. To me its a sign of respect that when we see a very good group of players, even if they are short one player, we proceed with caution. Running in there with guns blazing is a sure way to a quick lost. As i see it with some of these good players, its dam if you do and dam if you don't. IF you camp they call u names, if you go in hard you are noobs.....

lets keep it civil and play the game....

PS - IF WOT would like to keep Skirmishes on a more or less even footing. why not rank the teams? Have different groups,for example, teams made up of top clan members to groups made up of noobs. Those in the Top group would get bigger payouts to those in the noob group. This would then be an incentive for teams to improve and move up the payout ladder.

thanks

Please enlighten us less skilled campers as to how intentional drawing is a strategy or shows a sign of respect to good players. If you are afraid to leave your cap because you know the other team is better than your own and you play for a draw you should be penalized. Heavily penalized if you do it more than one or two times. Showing respect to a much better team would be meeting them on the battlefield and actually playing the game. Not hiding in your base and making them come to dig you out of a hard camp. Making a good team dig your crap team out of a hard camp is showing disrespect more than showing any respect.

Here is my personal opinion on how points should be awarded for these things:

Win = 3 points

Loss = 1 point

Draw = 0 points

Draw more than once in a single group stage and you are DQ'd from the skirmish.

Draw more than once in the final group stage and you are DQ'd from the skirmish and forfeit any gold that your team would have got if it placed in the top 50%.

Draw intentionally in the playoffs and you forfeit both the gold from the playoffs and the gold from group stages.

If a team gets DQ'd from 2 skirmishes in a row and the captain of the team is given a vacation from the skirmishes for 1 week.

If the same captain gets DQ'd again for drawing they get a 30 day vacation from skirmishes.

Doing this would cut the number of draws to 0 almost instantly for any team that is serious about the skirmishes and the gold earned in them. WarGaming feel free to adopt  this point scheme at any time. I dont even need to be given credit for said changes

1 T6 TD

1 T5 SPG

Map = Fishermans Bay Capture the Flag or Steppes Encounter

Limiting everything like that will likely be too hard for the WG staff. Lets stick to simple stuff so they dont screw everything up or hurt themselves.

<3 you Dance! dont hate me for this

Hehe it's easy to set those restrictions on the tournament page...but how easy will it be to follow?

10 vs 10.  Must bring one tank of every tier?  That'll get some heads rolling...

7V7.

  So one tier 5 light. With two of each tier six through eight. 47 point limit. 10 team members total. *light tanks limited to tier 5*

 Teams may look like this. IS3, AMX50/100 for tier 8. Comet and T29 for tier 7. Two hellcats for tier 6. MT-25 as the tier 5 scout.

map rotation. Cliff, Abby, Mine's

I would like to suggest one forum thread. I'm talking about black list with people who says that they will play and show up in tournaments, but reality is totally different, You don't see them at all or just once. We can also make "trust list"

Our clans officers have their own black list they have started for people (mainly from our own group of clans) that way we know from experience who is to be trusted and who isn't. You could always start a list yourself, or make one on your clans forums.

I trust literally anyone. I never make enough roster changes that i can get screwed over if all the new guys dont show up. if they dont show up, dont invite them back.

The other teams they might then join may not know what happened. I'm not casting my vote either way yet, just clarifying the logic.

well the only way to avoid them joining other teams would be to create a blacklist, but i think that goes under the category of naming and shaming.

How about do a skirmish of something like 5v5, and all the tanks have to be from the same nation. The teams can pick whatever nation they want, but all the tanks have to be from the same nation.

I see a lot of "has the gold been paid for Skirmish __ yet?" posts on the forum; I'd like to suggest that the tournament coordinator makes a post on the forum thread for the pertaining skirmish when the gold has been paid out.

My suggestion would a post from the tournament coordinator making the payout within that skirmish thread and an edit to the original post (post #1 in the thread) to say on which date the gold from the Alpha Group Stages was paid, gold from Alpha playoffs was paid and gold from Bravo was paid.

I would like a skirmish thread where only the mods post.  It was hell watching through all the butthurt trying to find Dance's post when skirmish 40 had the issue here. That way players can easily find our info, and we can ignore the thread where all the complaining was.

More mixed tier tournaments would be awesome. This whole 'x tier y tanks' thing is getting kind of old tbh

The only reason you see that question is because nobody can seem to read the skirmish rules, if they did they would know. I would rather that they would put the link in the tournament page in 64pt or larger font or better yet every player must read it every month before they can create/join a team.

Well yes, I agree. But it's tiring and frustrating skimming through those posts and all the responses of "Be patient, idiot." or "Go here and read."
