What is happening ??? Is it on for tomorrow? Did it happen today ?

The lack of updates has really made it difficult to organise anything. Very disappointing.

Okay,  We have a definite time for Friday at 2pm then at Pucka Tank Museum?
Has this been confirmed by the Cheif?

We run with this in order to coincide with the Chiefs visit, or pick a weekend in a month or so time when the Museum is open.

However it gets done we should have a meeting/gathering that is at the Tank Museum.

Suggestions?

Easo

OK, the curator has been generous enough to volunteer his personal time to open the museum. Though unfortunately, this appears to be from people calling the museum and pestering him under the belief that Saturday was a definite, which I would rather hadn't happened.

I need you to do the following.

Send me a PM with your real name and the real names of all those travelling with you. A government-issued photo ID is required for all over-16 to access the base. If I don't get your name, you may not be be allowed on.

We're inconveniencing this chap, and want to make a good showing of it, so every additional attendee will be worth it!

By the way, anyone based at Pucka want to meet me for lunch on Thursday, send me a PM as well.

Justa point if it hasn't already been noted - there's normally a fee for entry - I was up there with the kids yesterday - $20 for my 3 kids and myself. Also, make sure you get shots with the .5 Tuer lol traktor out the front (reprodeuction ww1 tank) and post in the website gallery.

Outback Gamers are currently confirming with members, on attendance.  We've got a few of us in Melbourne and some interstate guys are investigating whether they can fly in for this one.

A lot of military museums are actually manned by volunteers ... so I am not surprised that it is difficult to have it opened outside normal operating hours.

That being said the Tank Museuam at Pucka is a great place to spend the afternoon ... actually seeing those old WWII tanks is something to behold. Just how rough it must have been in places like North Africa in some of those things ... glad it wasn't me.

I have spent many hours at the Museum having been to many courses at Pucka during my 18 years in the Corps.

Pity it is 17 hour drive (non-stop) for me ...

I'm in. We've a Tp Function the night before so you'll have to put up with a very hungover person in me, but I should be there anyway.
