Hi Guys,

Was just in battle where a platoon mate killed a player called something like 'WG_Press_Account_116'. He was driving a MTLS-1G14.

Pretty cool, just wondering if anyone knew what the deal might be - promotional for a journalist or something?

the MTLS-1G14 was a gift for beta testers, so it could be a beta tester. But I have never seen a gift tank on the battle field at all even though I know some PPL from the forums who are testers, but have never brought their tanks out.

i was playing a game where lord_farquad driving in a tier IX, and saw jinxx71 today.

The M4A2E4 was given to beta testers who had at least 1,000 battles, and signed up before a specific date. Not the MTLS.

He was in 'WG' and had a quick exchange, said he was an employee.

Ive got a replay,if anyone is interested. Got no idea how to watch them myself, or upload.

Farquad was a regular player that got hired by WG as a whatever position he is now, CM I think it was?

Employees would get a GM account to fiddle with developement tanks and whatnot but they are still originally players with legit accounts.

MTLS? i tried that tank in 7.0 test server but i never see anyone play it yet.. i know some of beta testers but they never played there MTLS or their other beta tester gift tank

No it wasn't the E4 was the beta tank

MTLS is a future box tank.



And its probably press people for E3.

Was just in a game with a press account driving a T110. He was bad a tanks...

They are probably just E3 press accounts.  They are probably just letting random noobs at E3 play whatever tank they want as a way of seeing the game.

Would be nice if they let them play little tanks so it doesn't ruin our games. Having a fail tier 10 pretty much screws your team.

Makes me wonder if these press accounts have extra chat filters or chat disabled entirely, lol

I know a lot of battles i've been in, the chat conversation hasn't been such that WG.net would want it used for press purposes. heh

The WoT community easily manages that without any press accounts involved.

Last year at E3 WG let people play these accounts at E3

I am assuming that this year at E3 they are doing the same thing

More then likely anyone with a press account is going to suck hardcore

You can only hope you dont have them on your team
