During the early years of the war Britan's inability to supply Commonwealth countries with war materiel due to the constant need in Europe, and the fears of a Japanese invasion of Australia led to the development of the Sentinel, an Australian designed light tank. This tank never saw service, as America had joined WWII by the end of it's development and the Australian armoured divisions were outfitted with American and British tanks.
The AC3 'Thunderbolt' was an upgraded version, with better armour adn ammunition capacity allowed for by the removal of the Hull MG.
The main difference between the Sentinel and the Thunderbolt is the tanks maingun (Though there are some armour differences.
If the Sentinel is included, it would have to be a Tier 2, as the QF 2 pounder would never have the penetration power to stand up to anything in a higher tier.
The Thunderbolt could concievably be a good higher tier medium tank, as it used both the QF 25pdr (Same gun as ANZAC divisional artillery, good HE shell choice?) and the QF 17pdr (Most effective anti tank gun of WWII)
Usage of the QF 17pdr would necessitate the upgraded larger turret that was developed.
I would be ecstatic to have this tank included in World of Tanks, even if it is a Premium I would be very happy to pay for it, and I'm sure other Aus tankers would agree with me.

I think that each Commonwealth nation that produced significant numbers of indigently designed tanks (i.e. Australia & Canada) should each have a "sprig" on the Commonwealth Tree...there are enough tanks that each one could have at least 3 tiers. Ram I (T3), Ram II (T4) Grizzly 1 (T5) Grizzly Firefly (T6). Sentinel (T4), AEC II (T5), AEC III (T6), with branches leading back into the "main" Commonwealth medium lines.

The 17 pounder one looks better
but I kinda like the idea of it being put in but as maybe a tier 6ish premuin.

Im not gonna pay fer it... make it a branch of the tree sort of like the luchs, leopard and vk2801 line... it would fit right in after the crusader A9/A10 depending on which one WoT decides to implement... Hell you could make it the Ac 1 with research modules leading to the Ac2 and then you research up a grade to the Ac3 thunderbolt....
My vision of that part of the tree would be the
A9/A10 (t4) -----------------------------------> Ac1 (t4) (with upgradeable modules to the Ac2 this tank would be stock with the 2pdr and upgradeable to the 6pdr as a teir 5 gun) .......l....................................................... .... l
......V ...........................................................V
Sherman Firefly..................................... AC 3 (t5) ( stock with the 6pdr (t5 gun) with both the dual 25pdr's (t6 gun) and the 17pdr (t7 gun?))
(stock 75mm upgrade to the 17pdr)
Just my way of viewing it....

If I remember right a machine gun was to be mounted there but wouldn't have been considered a weak spot due to a large amount of armour that was intended to encase it .
