Lowe Performance

I just recently received my Lowe from the gift shop for my birthday. Got some nice snow camo on it, looks pretty bada$$, and freaking rocks next to my KV-5. Only problem is that I don't find I make to much money in it. Maybe it's the expensive shell cost(1030 credits!)or just my playstyle isn't correct, so I'm calling on you, the general public, too guide me to Lowe stardom.
Thx

Advance, snipe, advance, snipe, advance, snipe.
You don't have the speed and armor to brawl, and to make the mega money you need to survive long and put out a lot of damage.
In tier 10 or tier 9 matches, you're the second line. You sit behind your team's heavy hitters and take opportunity shots. You support your team's heavy hitters by keeping their flanks safe, tracking targets for them and finishing off stragglers.
In a tier 8 match you might actually do some careful pushing, but keep in mind that even when you're top tank, your armor isn't very strong. Tier 7's will most of the time pen your front, you're only really 'well armored' to tier 5 tanks.
You've got a highly accurate gun, very good pen, very good view range, decent alpha and low ROF. Use your gun to it's advantages.

Yeah, what he said
If you really want to go to town, outfit yourself with binocs, gun rammer, and gun laying drive. Those three pieces of equipment will maximize aspects of the tank which are already superb.
The Lowe has 402 view distance right out of the box, so adding binocs boosts you to 500 meters. With that you can ravage a good part of the field without people even knowing what hit them.
The Lowe already deals hefty DPM. Add the drive and rammer and you'll be putting out damage at an even faster clip.
There are some purists here who will say that the Lowe is not a sniper because it is a heavy tank and that heavy tanks should be leading a push or denying a route. Those people cut and paste sections from wikipedia on armored battle principles with a totally straight face, in complete denial of the fact that this is a video game without infantry, without close air support, without armored personnel carriers, and most of all, without any coordination between units other than some blabbed nonsense in a chat line for 30 seconds before the gun sounds.
The Lowe is a sniper. Yes, it can push through a canyon and do other heavy duties when pressed, but if you want to be as useful to your team as possible AND farm credits, leverage the tanks strengths to make it a player across as much of the field as possible.
Here's a good example, a game I just finished:
Victory!

Vehicle: Löwe
Experience received: 1,651

This was a good game for me...killed four, damaged five, hit something like 16 out of 19 shots. Repairs were 1,400, ammo was 20,600. So I netted @ 75k. This is with a premium account so standard would have been 50k. Still a good haul. In a really bad game, where I get offed early, I don't get in any good shots, and my side loses I can still make 10k. It's pretty much impossible to lose money in this tank.
I let the vanguard push ahead of me, using my view distance, superior accuracy and good ROF focusing on eliminating forward units and protecting the flank.

Another key to success is not to let the bashers get to you... the people who blame you for losing a match for them simply because you're in a Lowe. Hell, there are even people that will actively abandon any type of teamwork with a Lowe driver because they assume they have no skill.
For example, I had a game very similar to Ironlight's today... got 4 kills, stayed on the second line in support of the main vanguard, but of course it came down to me being that last guy alive, with no way to get back to our base in time to stop the enemy capping our base. So of course, all my dead teammates place the burden of defeat solely on the "noob Lowe driver". Those are the people you just gotta ignore.
Some other things to consider: The Lowe is slow as hell... try to avoid situations where you have to make a long climb up any steeply sloped open area, as it'll be almost as good as standing still for the enemy. Also, understand that whatever path you commit to on a given map, you're most likely stuck on that path, as your speed makes it difficult to get around to other parts of the battlefield quickly.

Here's another discusion on this : http://forum.worldof...play-the-loewe/
I've only had the Lowe a few weeks(didn't buy until i was ready to get my first tier 8 (just got KT and panther 2). You will get abuse from others no matter how you play(one night got 116,000 and 91,000 credits in losses , 4 kills each battle and you'd thought i didn't do anything, by way others acted).
Have fun with your Lowe!

No doubt, the tank is painfully slow. If you are going to move to high ground, get moving for it asap and don't abandon it unless you have to. A great spot for the Lowe, for example, is the farmhouse on the knoll on the south side of Redshire. You can cover half the map, hit anyone who gets lit on the ridge, and if necessary move east or west and get some help from rolling downhill at the outset.
Whatever you do, don't get flanked. While the armor on the front is decent, it's pretty poor on the sides and back. If you can hide the vertical strip on the front between your upper glacis and lower glacis do it...it's the tanks frontal weak point.
