I've suggested it before, but i recentlely came upon a few tankers who were interested in having Italian taks in-game due to them being a part of the axis, and therefore being a part of the European Front. Although they did drop out of the Axis power near 1943 and joined the allies...

So last time i found some small, weak tanks that would be nothing above tier 5.

Here are some that would be teir 4+

Carro Armato Celere Sahriano Medium Tank
(Its named Sahario because it was inspired by British cruiser tanks and was used in North Africa)

Crew: 4
Engine: 270h.p. Fiat Gasoline Engine
Weight: 18 tons
Speed: 60kph
Armament: x1 47mm gun (they also intended it to use a 75mm)
Length: 5.8m
Hieght: 2.8m
Armor: a guess would be between 50-70mm

http://utenti.quipo..../celere-s-3.jpg A tier 5 light?

The P40

It would be the Tier 5 heavy tank.
Posted Image

It has an L/34 75mm cannon
Armor: Turret: 50/40/40mm
Hull Armor: 50/40/40mm
It is sloped so it would provide some bouncing.

Engine: 330h.p.
Speed: 40kph (25mph)

This one took a LOT of looking to find.

I found the ONE AND ONLY SPG Italy EVER made during WW2

The Semovente da 149/40

Weight: 52,911Lbs
Height: 6ft 7in.
Lenght: 21ft 8 in.
Width: 9ft 10in.
Main Armament: 149.1mm (149mm rounded)

The Italian Army was not far behind the Germans in realizing the need for assault guns  and developed a string of vehicles that outwardly resembled the StuG III. These Italian assault guns were produced in appreciable numbers for they were better armored and quicker to produce than the contemporary Italian tanks.

Engine: 250h.p.
Suspension: Leaf Spring
Speed: 21.75mph (35kph)

Italian TD's

The Semovente 105/25

Weight: 15.8 tons
Length: 5.1m
Width: 2.4
Height: 1.75m

Crew: 3 (commander, gunner, radio operator)
Armor: 75mm
Main Armament: 105mm L/25 with 48 rounds

Tier 6 TD?

Semovente 90/53

Weight: 17 tons
Length: 5.205m
Height: 2.15m
Width:  2.20m
Armor: 40mm
Main armament: 90mm
Crew: 5 (commander, 3 gunners/loaders)
Tier 5 TD?

Semovente 75/46

Weight: 1.74m
Lenght: 6m
Width: 2.82m
Height: 1.74m

Armor: 15-75mm (front 75mm)
Main Armament: 75mm L/46
Engine: 192h.p.
Speed: 24mph (38kph)

Tier 4 TD?

Italy didn't make all that many tanks (only about 18 really produced)
I could go on with TD's till tier 1 but that would take a while. so there ya go.
Some Italian tanks that could be here in WoT some day...

No but you can see where the different European powers shared ideas and construction philosophies.

Assault Guns are usually armored enclosed Tank Destroyers, most common TD's were barely armored gun carriages.  The "Assault Gun" was a variation from this common practice in that it usually mounted reasonable armor, had viable sights / gear on board and usually was intended to survive more than a few encounters with the enemy.

Assault Guns; [Some models not listed - Just giving an idea]
All Stugs [3 & 4 Series]
Su-85, 100 and 152's [Variations of these in game - isu152 for instance]
T28 & T95
T25 AT
Hetzer
JG's [4, Panther and Tiger]
Ferdinand
T18

Tank Destroyers;  [Some models not listed - Just giving an idea]
M8, M10, M36, M18 [and the prototypes T28 & T25]
All Marder Series
Su-76 & Su-85b
Jg PzKfw I

You get the idea.  If it was barely armored, open topped and easy to crank out production wise it was usually just a Tank Destroyer which more often than not just meant Anti-Tank gun mounted on tracks.  The fully armored beasts with attention paid to service viability are the Assault Guns meant to blister the on coming enemy and survive some salvo's from the enemy.

The Italians will probably make up the mid tiers of the European tree, but they won't have their own independent one

More axis in-game? But that would diminish Power Of Great Soviet Union Motherland!

Anyway, tl;dr, more tanks is more tanks. Bring em on I say. From what I've read though, Italian tanks were lolbad. Maybe some alpine specialized arty with ridiculous firing arcs?

These will probably end up in the paneuropean tree.

I just hope the pan euro tree ends up being a spiderweb of like 100 tier 1-5 stuff with 4 or 5 higher tiers. Low tiers need some variety to spice things up and get more people in.

Honestly......I have tried. I mean tried very hard   Making an italian tree from Tier 1 - Tier 10,  along with a 9 med and TD,  and an 8 SPG, and 5 light.  Not knocking what you've found so far,  but it's things that really aren't that hard to find.   A full italan tree would be amazing and I back you 100% on that idea, yet; so far my Italian tree peeks at about tier 7 all round.   After that, Italy just has nothing.  Quite literally nothing,  no project tanks, nothing planned, noting even designed.   Even having my Italian friends doing a bit of legwork.

Maybe they do have something obscure,  somewhere in some archive hidden away from sight.  When I researched Italian ships for an undisclosed MMORPG naval warfare game I had to do some serious digging and lots of number fudging (since that game liked historical inaccuracy).  WoT isn't cut from the same rock....at least it's cut from a very different part of the rock.   They number fudge,  but that's simply for the arcade aspect, and every tank get's a nice rub down with the "Rag of survivability"

What WoT doesn't do, and something I actually respect them for, is just flat out, make up a tank.   When searching I found plenty of plausible Italian tanks that could fit the bill, all fan made to look and feel Italian.   But that's not WoT is about.  Maybe Italy does have something  but it would take a fluent italain researcher with a good knowledge of post war tank designs to finish it.....so my suggestion would be, don't worry about the little stuff.  Find the end game content,  as I'm guessing that's what the Dev team couldn't find either, and why they have said italy will be pan-europe tree.

What about the Fiat M11/M39

It used a 37 mm with a 15 degree to either side on its hull with 8 mm MGs on a rotating turret. 32 K/mh and a 105 HP engine

Tier 2 TD or T3 Tank.

Also the Fiat M13/40.

It had 30 mm on front hull 42 mm on front turret 25 mm on sides and back and 15 mm on top with a 47 mm gun and top speed was 32 K/mh with a 150 HP engine

Tier 5 Medium tank.

OH I found a maybe tier 8-7 SPG but some number fudging

It is the Semovente 105/25. It had a 105 mm cannon, with 35 K/mh top speed with a petroleum 192 HP engine the site doesn't specify. so lets say 75 mm all around and the statsfor the gun could be RoF 20.57 with a penetration of 89 with HE rounds and 179 with AP rounds.

The_Chieftain mentioned the devs have said they're not decided on whether the Pan-European tree will include Italy, or if Italy will receive its own tree.

So, you just might get an Italian tree.
