5 easy Steps:


Step 1: Install Dokan library 0.6.0 to your computer (just the default installation from http://dokan-dev.net/en/download/ )





Step 2: Download and Open the file zip file labeled "XVM_SIMPLE.zip" that you've downloaded and unzip it to your desktop from *CHANGED LINK* http://www.curse.com...ds/worldoftanks [ Please use the standard site that WoT recommended and not random zip files. ] ~ Brygin

Edit(15/06/2012): Trying to talk to mods about this, because the whole point is i included everything to make this simple. Pm me for the link since apparently this is somehow prohibited.





Step 3: Double click on the folder "XVM_SIMPLE" to open it and copy all files and folders inside of it.





Step 4: Paste everything you've just copied (including files and folders) into "C:\Games\World_of_Tanks" (Beware, C might be substituted for other letters dependent on your drive set up)





Step 5: Open the file "Starting_Wot_Simply_Instructions.txt" and follow the instructions on how to start wot with your newly installed XVM.

What do the two stats other than win % mean?

Is the win % for that person as an overall player or just specific to that particular tank?

12k(games played in thousands) 1660 (efficiency) 52% ( win rate of player overall)

Mine won't work, i did was it said, and put the res_mods and replaced it with the folder that was in there already and it doesn't work..

Edit: Went into first battle with it, it worked... forgot to put Dokan0.6.0, 2nd game, didn't work

So you could say that someone with a lower win rate but high effeciency is actually a good player that gets stuck on a lot of crap teams & the vice versa would be true as well?


I ask as I have often thought that win rate alone is not a true indicator of how good a player is.

win rate is a very good indicator although it can be bloated by tcs. win rate matters because its a show of how many times a player can raise above the regular and make his team win because at the end of the day everyone gets shit teams and good teams so the difference is you and yor critical thinking skills mixed with basic tactics.

just played in a match where my teams chance to win was 18%

I don't know what I was doing wrong before but I could not get this mod to work so I just gave up. I thought I did everything the same way you did in your guide but...it never worked before. Now it does so thx now I just need to mess around and get the chance to win turned off...I find that depressing.

Can you elaborate? by "fixes these games" do you mean forces one side to lose?

I don't think WoT's matchmaker looks at the stats XVM does in setting up a match.

I think XVM does some calculations based on its own numbers based on MM outcome to give you that "5%"

Way the match maker works is that it will keep players less than 50%  win, loss
Players that have a win % over 50 mostly play in tank cmpanys or platoon with other good players
Mod works good, not always tell the winners but it gives a good idea how the game might go.

im not fully sure but one is from the efficency of the teams combined vs each other and the other one is from win rate. also purple means great chances green means good, yellow means near 50/50 and red means probably not gunna win. similar for efficiency win rate and games played. (ex player with purple win rate =a boss or better than the top 1 % of the game)
