Updated version is right here:

Please use the standard site for downloading mods. http://www.curse.com...ds/worldoftanks

I'm having a minor problem, I wonder if anyone would be able to help. Didn't think it'd be worth making another "XVM halp pl0x" thread about it.
Changes that I make to the config file aren't taking hold, for some reason.
Such as, removed all instances of {{kb}} from the config file, but KB is still shown, or change colors of dead tank nametags, still gray color.
Other changes work though. Hide version number, show statistics, HP format...

that would be beyond awesome, thanks. the instructions are confusing a bit, and having windows 7 doesnt help, because it causes some files to be in different spots

I don't see the starting_wot_simply_instructions in the download. I don't want to post the link since it will get removed but it was the standard site.

I have installed as stated in the OP. But no stats are being shown at all. Only change I am seeing is the health bar is replaced by numbers and when a tank gets hit, it shows it as either blue (ally) or pinkish (enemy).

No stats on the scoreboard either.

Any ideas?

Can't find xvm_simple.zip.
I found full version, installed dokan library.
The bars over the tanks changed, but nothing else.  No statistics.
I think all I need is a config.  Can you point to one?
The documentation contained in xvm is (abysmal, terrible, bad, pick one).  Thanks for your help so far. :Smile_Default:
Edit: Got a config file copied over.  It works now.  Thanks.

Don't download XVM from curse, get it from the original source:
http://code.google.com/p/wot-xvm/downloads/list

Curse has an outdated version and who knows it might have been tempered with.

In some of the pictures I see 'Win Chances: x%" (which is what I want to see.)
In some of the others I see 'Win Chances: m=xxx.x, k=xxx.x'  (I can't make heads or tails out of this.)
How can I get the 'Win Chances: x%' version.
Thanks

you need to run wot proxy exe with your game closed. It will start world of tanks and the proxy letting you see stats too.

honestly curse is pretty useless. i never dl from there. simply becuase its outdated and filled with spam. so maybe il browse through and look for the original mod site but never from curse (as you said i don't know the validity of their content as it is often outdated and with little detail). i find it funny wots official mod site is more fishy than a Russian site with a youtube video of the troll song in the background.

When I go to start it up it come up with

"WoT XVM Proxy v1.1.8.16350

System.Exception: Game start file not found: WorldOfTanks.exe
at wot.Program.Main(String[] args)"

then Im prompted to press any key and it shuts down... anyone else had this problem?

Read the readme file on how to install it correctly. Or if you are too lazy to do that at least copy the files into the game folder.

I downloaded the XVM Simple (thanks Cory) and installed it per the instructions and the black DOS box appears, has all the correct info, but when I start a match, no stats appear.  I had Dokan installed from a previous XVM attempt, so I uninstalled that one and installed a fresh download of it and that didn't help either.

NM, now it's working.  And I didn't change anything.

Way the match maker works is that it will keep players less than 50%  win, loss
Players that have a win % over 50 mostly play in tank cmpanys or platoon with other good players
Mod works good, not always tell the winners but it gives a good idea how the game might go.
I like the mod
no, the way the mm works is gives them 50 50 chance, or tries to. way XVM determines those 5% win chance, is by saying (hmm, this guy has 44%, same goes with his entire team, OH, that guy has 80% on the other team, that teams got a higher chance now, hrmp, i give this team 5% and the other 95%) pretty much.

All you need to do after proper install is to run the wot-xvm-proxy.exe file.
Also extract the XVM.xvmconf.cfg file from the xvmdocs folder/samples & pick which one you want.
Works fine for me.
