A. I like to call it modification

step 1.  Press the windows button on bottom left of the computer.

step 2. type in Run on start search bar

step 3. click the aplication and type in %appdata%

step 4. double click wargaming.net then double click WORLDofTANKS ** NOT WoT **

step 5. right click preferences then open with- notepad** there should be a tab that says OPEN WITH> then hover over that and click note pad.

step 6. then scroll down to TERRAIN_MESH_RESOLUTION then right below it should be a number , erease it and replace it with a 2

step 7. scroll down to EFFECTS_QUALITY replace the number right below it with a 2.

B. Back to 1955

this works to boost computer speed !

step 1. click the window button on the bottom left and right click it then select properties

step 2. then click advance system setting then click the advance tab on the top.

, step 3. then click the setting in the preformece rectangle, then set it to best preformance then apply it.

i think its cool with the 1955 look on the computer.** when you apply this the screen with go grey and junk dont panic its normal it will only last 5 secs.

from 5 fps to 16 fps!! ** had to do both**

+1 if thiss helped!

it decreases the quality of hills and thus make some parts of terrain where you can normally shoot through appear to be solid.

interesting...
i have always noticed the terrible texture compression of this game when looking at far distances... i have got to try this
which usually drops me from 80 frames to 30

UPDATE!
i highly advice NOT USING THIS

it decreases the quality of hills and thus make some parts of terrain where you can normally shoot through appear to be solid. and the results may be devastating...

while the fps effected are minimal

edit... wow... biased poll no?

but the problem with this option is that you will see the terrain a little deformed.. some cliffs/mountains are like desynchronized from the map physic... i mean, your shoots sometimes penetrates mountains or hit invisible walls, same with your tank.. sorry i cant explain better :P

no thats becuase your visual range goes down so its blurry + i never hit unless my target gets a red highlight  or aiming ahead of a t50

If someone don't have it clear, I'll try to explain more detailed (?)

1. Start --[in search]--> %appdata%
2. wargaming.net -> WorldOfTanks
3. Right-Click --[or open with notepad]--> Edit
4. Search TERRAIN_MESH_RESOLUTION and change value to 2 (default is 0)
5. Save and enjoy (?)

Your WoT must be closed to save the preferences file...

I think you don't understand me, sorry my english is bad, what I want to say that the problem is, this option put the map in a low res mesh, or something like that, and didn't match with the map hit box mesh..

Lakeville...
north base where TDs like to hide behind the large mountain if you cross through the middle.
there are likely a lot more around... i have only played 1 game using this setting and already encountered this.
