Something like rested XP in other MMOs? It's an interesting idea, though I'm not sure how to work it in WoT.
We already have 2x XP for the 1st victory of the day (more during certain specails). Would your rested XP kick in after so many hours/days in the barracks or after a tank has not fought after a preset timeframe? And if the bonus is say 2x for n battles, would that make running dailies a thing of the past and instead, resting a crew, then running them for the n battles until they're no longer rested?
If it has more benefit than the current "Daily Double", it might have unintended consequences. For example, it might reduce the number of people logged in during current normal peak times and throw off the matchmaker more than it already is. Also, may cause even higher peak server load during weekends and cause either higher lag or longer que times. Just two possible negative possibilities.
On the positive side, I for one, wouldn't mind a way to reduce my daily play time in WoT if I was able to concentrate my time to just weekends for grinding, and nights for CW. (I know my family would sure appreciate it.) Say if a crew is not used for 5 nights, then they get 2x for the next 5 victories. That way, a tanker could rest a crew Monday through Friday, and still get five Doubles on Saturday and another on Sunday. Another would be to allow 2x XP for each victory for each day a crew isn't played. This way, even 2 days rested, would provide a 2 victory Double bonus. (A loss would count as a battle played.) No benefit, no loss. (The 3x, and 5x bonus during specials would still be limited to only the 1st victory, any subsequent "rested" battles that day would only get the 2x bonus.)
It's not a terrible idea and one that at least merits discussion.
