Stats are a tool to allow you to see how your doing. If you don't "care" about your stats your really saying "I don't care if I'm good or bad, I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing". Now If your passable to good, thats ok. But if your stats are saying "you could improve" and your saying "lalala not listening", then yes. We have a problem.
This is still a team game, and if one of the team is happy doing poorly, good for them. If half the team is happy doing poorly, this is where the rage begins. Because some people are very competitive. Most people like to win.
I don't care about your stats, and most people will be in my boat. We care what your doing with them. If they're poor are you looking to make them better? Looking at whats not working for you and improving it? Watching out a match and picking up pointers from others? If the answer is no, then why are you here?
Because if you know your doing bad, and you don't care about even trying to improve, you seem to have missed the point of multiplayer games or games in general. And if your unsure, a good guess is 50% is the pass mark, even if its really somewhere in the 40-50% range.

I bash other people for being morons, not for having a bad w/l. The w/l is a symptom, not the cause.
Playing a tough game is how I have fun. Win or lose, if it's a good match, I enjoy it. I don't rage at losses. I rage when I never had a chance because my team mates apparently don't grasp basic concepts like, "getting shot in the side because no one covered a flank is bad" or "heavies should be in front of the arty, not behind it." Those people have bad w/l%s. They aren't morons because they have bad stats -- they have bad stats because they are morons.
If you are going to be a moron and ruin my fun by essentially throwing the game to the other side, I'm going to let you know you are a moron in terms that make it through your tightly woven moron defenses and get lodged among the stupid-cheese and idoicy-funyons that make up what mass you call a brain for at least a few seconds.

So much hate and anger. It's a game bro, maybe you need to focus on something a little more important if this gets you so riled up.

They're contributing to the team how they want to. I see nothing bad about this. As long as they're not afk or teamkilling then everything else is fine and helping the team. They may be able to help out "better or more" in your mind, but seriously, who are you to tell someone else what to do?
And they're contributing negatively(which I'm about to give two examples of). Which is what makes it a bad thing.
Problem 1: An IS4 that is 42% and waits until the mediums infront of him die off to then push solo at the enemy...did not help. He took up a valuable slot. Though I suppose you could argue that he's a neutral piece.(Which I disagree with)<I see this alot. Even cajoling them doesn't work.
Problem 2:
You're holding a flank with a 42% Is4. You engage the mediums coming at you(let's say four mediums bearing down). The IS4 sees a light running for our base(We have five TDs camping base). He turns, and showing his rear armor to the mediums..lumbers off leaving you to die and gets killed from behind. <That negatively impacted your own gameplay. It caused a cheap death of your own life, and a worthless death with his. Your team is now down two tanks without killing any of em'.
For the record, I'm not telling anyone how to play. They're going to play how they want no matter what I might or might not tell them. But I am trying to logically show, w/o flaming, raging, or drama-ing how a bad teammate negatively affects the team...which seemed to be in question as I read the thread.
Note: I don't hate 'bads', and I actually find that term minorly offensive. I just don't see how you can argue that they aren't hurting the team by their skills.
Edit: I don't hate IS4s btw, but the IS4s I see doing this someone make a bigger impression on me. I also see mre low 40s than other tier tens methinks.

Which is why good teams in RL bench bad players.<Whole other discussion. WOT has no feasible practice floor for them to run around against the A team and skill up.

It's all relative. I never said you can't find enjoyment in your stats or winning over and over again. I personally don't care at all about them. You can throw out suggestions and offer advice, that's awesome. It's all the rage and anger that is really sad. It will drive people away from a game where they might have stayed because someone had a hyperbole on a game with pixel tanks because their pixle numbers went down a little bit.
To the other part, they are helping how they want to help. It might not be what you want them to be doing, but as I said before, who are you to tell someone what to do with their time? I gave you a plus one because you kind of understand the basic concept, I think, I hope.

Giving damage against taking damage is a better judge of skill imo.
I have a total 1.8 damage ratio meaning I give out 80% more damage than I take and a 2.1 kill / death ratio meaning I die for every 2 comparable enemys killed on average across all my tanks.

I could see this as a decent stat to use, but still pretty silly it terms of everything.

Why we still having this?
Let me explain :
Intelligent crowd : Win % is a good INDICATOR of skill.
Play for fun morons : OMG why do you people care only about win %!?!?!111 Damn elitist! We just having fun!
Intelligent crowd : We said indicator. We didn't say absolute reference.
P.F.F.M : Omg such elitism! Win % isn't everything! It means nothing!
Intelligent crowd : It means something. But we said it's an indicator. We didn't say it means everything.
P.F.F.M : We don't care about our win %! We will now spend half a page explaining to you why we don't care you damn elitists!
Intelligent crowd : You keep using that word... I don't it means what you think it means.

I play how I want to play. You're looking at my stats like they mean something. They don't. I just point and shoot and do what I want. Don't bring my stats in this trying to justify anything.
Stats are there as a guide and can tell you if a player was unlucky or had a "duh" moment (we all have those!!!) or if it is a common theme.
So are u saying you have just got lucky and have managed to win more than you lose? Or do you actualy try to win?
Its a pub game we ALL just go and do what we want but we ALL want to win so what we do is try to win so what we want is usually in the best intrests for the team.
I see too often low tier tanks try to take on high tier tanks, people not trying to get cover from arty (eventhough there is 5 per side) or just going to the same spot every game because thats where they like to go. Oh and the "lemmings run" is another great enjoyment factor.
These type of things ruin my enjoyment of the game and if I decided to spend my time raging at people in game because they don't do the things I hoped they would do to help us win then I have every right to do so.
Using your arguement why should anybody who like to rage at others ingame have to change if they get enjoyment out of it?

OP is the one telling people how to play this game. Why? Because apparently the OP knows what is good for everyone. Screw the OP.
