If anyone has the tech know-how, I would love to see the following mod...
Last known enemy tank position stays on mini-map, perhaps with a different color icon, like grey.
So basically, if an enemy is spotted and highlighted on the mini-map, when they drop from the mini-map, their last known position would be replaced by a grey icon. If they get spotted later on, they grey icon would go away. Also, if they get destroyed the grey icon would go away.
Is something like this possible?
Mod Request - Last known position

Probably possible - and cheating. Similar to the tracer mod that messed up the game for awhile.
There is a difference between modding the game and cheating, dude.

Why? It isn't providing any more information than is already available.

sounds possible but i dont see how this can help in anyway. we have commonsense we know where a tank was last spotted.

Cheating? Really? That seems to be a bit of a stretch.
I already do this in my head when I play matches, keeping track of how many enemy I see in each area of the mini-map. Is having a memory cheating?

Let's just make a mod to run our vehicles, and we can just sit back and watch.......that'd be fun......or something.

**rolls eyes - can't believe someone would type something soooo stupid*****
That's the point. Duh. I guess we'll have to explain this to SOME people...
The blips only last for so long for a reason, to add complexity and better competition to the battlefield. Those players with better battlefield awareness and memory in the heat of battle will do better as they develop and master those skills. Yes, you saw it on your screen, but creating a mod that keeps the dots in place longer than the game intends is akin to the mod that someone had created that kept shot tracers visible for extended time. Both are cheats intended to help the poorer players make up for a lack of skill. Such measures that make the game easier or harder should only enabled by the game itself and agreed upon when we sign on to play.

Then reload countdown timers should be cheating? After all, the same logic applies.
The fact is, it is not as black and white as you make it out to be. In addition, your 'holier than thou' tone demonstrates a lack of respect for other players.

its a bit unfair as arty can easily wipe out stationary TDs and SPGs who they dont know they are spotted

Reload bars don't fade over time. Having a number for it gives no advantage. Seeing where people are even after the game normally wouldn't show you is cheating. Don't try to spin a "I'm the good guy and the big bad meanies are hurting me" stuff. If you mod it so the game shows you information it intended NOT to be seen (Note it SHOWS YOU A BAR that stands for the time to reload at ALL times. It DOESN'T always show enemy positions after they fade) after a period of time then its cheating. End of story.
As stated, the tracers serve almost the same purpose as the temporary minimap positions. They hint where someone is at to a certain degree. And its LONG been accounted for that the tracer mod was, is, and always shall be a cheat. The only difference between this and that would be one is in the 3D field, one is on the 2D map.

It is quite clear if you understand the matter. The fact that you think countdown timers are the same sort of thing illustrates that you just don't yet get it. With the timer, that data is already on your screen, just in a different form. You guys are asking for an exploit that retains information the server-side game no longer wants you to have. That would be cheating.
Why is this so hard to understand???

Touch screen PC lets you install a stylus and write on the screen. Mark locations yourself B)

Aww why you mad bro? you say you CAN remember where they were on the mini map so why do you even need something like this? Either lies or just want to cheap Im guessing.
