Well from what i can see the ELC AMX would get a 90mm..(wouldn't that make it better than the 12t) problem is though, there is several different ELC AMX's (all capable of mounting the 90mm.

the ELC AMX original, the ELC AMX Bis and another one i forget the only problem is this.

It was armed with a D914 90 mm gun which fired only HEAT or HE rounds.

Regular AMX.

The ELC Bis?

It won't have an autoloader.

From the look of that, I'd guess the second one that you posted.

The AMX 12t will probably lose its current stock gun and get extra hitpoints.

And since HEAT is premium ammo, that probably means that the 90mm on the ELC AMX will only fire HE and more likely than not lack a clip system.

EDIT: I thought the OP only said HEAT and not HE. My bad. I should read more carefully.

it will not have autoloader
but it will be the worst gun
lacks caliber to use HE...lacks AP ammo

You guys do know that they could just completely make up an AP round, right?

Yeah, but that would make too much sense

Of course, a 90 mm AP gun at tier 5 would be a VERY powerful option. I mean, only the BDR (which is extremely lacking otherwise) and the SU-85 (likewise) have such a gun or better at tier 5. This means that they'll probably either make it fling HE only, or make it shoot really slowly, or the ELC will kinda suck other than the gun.

The new french TD also has a 90mm and a 105 long gun(non derp). I can see them giving it a 90mm but having a pretty long reload since it is a pretty small tank for a crew to work in.

I may be wrong but the tank also comes with 75mm gun so this may be perhaps it?

If it gets a 90 mm gun, it's more than likely to get a T5 scout matchmaking. And I still wonder if that'd be balanced.

@ OP : the tank on your last picture probably is an early version of the AMX-30 MBT.

Looking at the pictures I think the ELC AMX looks abolutely tiny, barely any bigger than the Renault UE 57. If it's fast too then things should get very interesting in the ELC...

Could end up with a tier 5 m5 stuart.  Micro derp guns are not new so I fail to see why they would make an AP round when it could just have HE and HEAT like other derps (albeit a smaller size, read useless or pathetic).

Played on game on this thing on the TS. My lag was awful, But it seems to handle a lot better than the 12t. BUT the turret traverse was about 15 degrees either direction, aka, TD traverse range. Also the RPM is something like 5.5 RPM, so it takes almost as long to reload one shot as the full clip for the 12t. Not sure if I'll like it or not.

Oh yeah, the 90mm uses AP, 170 pen, 240 damage.

In order to get the ELC, does the 12t in the garage need to be elite? Grinding out almost 60k xp for the tier 5 arty on the current 12t will suck horrifically if that is the case.

No it doesnt have to be elite, as long as the 12t is researched you should be fine.  I have the 12 researched but not in the garage, so I got the ELC fully unlocked but had to buy the tank.  If you have the 12t in the garage then you will get the ELC free plus 100% crew
