Churchills: The new low tier enemy.

Ever since the special deal where the Churchill costed %50 off and earned x2 the amount of credits, tier 5 and under battles have been a pain for me - a record of 6 churchills on the enemy team...
A good tank is a mixture of Mobility/Protection/Firepower, the churchill boasts limited mobility (no top speed, average acceleration and near pivot turning radius), Protection on the churchill is exceptional, being impervious to most tier IV and under guns, and being able to bounce and deflect tier 5 to tier 7 guns (like those on the T-34, M4 Sherman, T1 Heavy, BDR G1B) and Firepower on the churchill is above average for its tier, the gun does penetration to all tier IV and under tanks (all of them) frontways (regular exceptions being the AMX-40).
Now with stats like that and battle experience (I've played the churchill alot and played against it alot) I can determine what the problem is with it, unlike other tier 5 heavies, for example the KV-1, which does have a weak spot yes, the rear of the vehicle - you can easily get around to the rear with its low rate of fire and slow turret traverse and get some rounds into its ass end, effectively slowing it down or destroying it depending on the situation. but unlike the KV-1, the churchill has a faster turret traverse and a higher rate of fire, and the rear armour is a bit tuffer to get decent hits on, so your most likely going to get smoked by that 2 pounder before you can destroy it,
So In conclusion, I can see how having one or two Churchills per match can be fun, effective and I dare say a game maker, but when it gets to the point of there being 3-4 Churchills on opposing sides, the battle becomes more focused around them, not the other 10-11 people on the team, which becomes frustrating for me and other players because we can't support the team because either our guns are too small or we die first.
the way I see the mobility/protection/firepower ratio is this.

*noted: the 20k per battle is nice though ;)

Many think that just because its frontal armour stat is 176 mm, means all of its frontal armour is 176mm thick, which is not true. Its most of its frontal armour is 101mm thick, or 50mm thick at a slope equivilent to about 101mm thick. Remember that its armour is not sloped. The churchill are not hard to destroy if you fight them right.

Day # 421.
I still do not understand why people spell Turret as Turrent. I still dont get it why, the N is so far away from the letters T,U,R and E. But I must carry on with this quest to find out why. Perhaps I should give up, food and water supplies are getting low.
But this is for the sake of all Tankers and Mankind.

The Churchill is indeed a fun tank and because of the spiecal seen in sometime large numbers 9 in one battle. It also is very lacking vs other tier 5 mediums and heavies as it can't pen the front armor on most. When the British tanks arrive you will not see the premium Churchill all that often as they will be out classed by the normal ones. They can be upgraded. So enjoy them now.

loads of churchill's in pubs is nothing.
A lot of us have been taking part in Churchill only medium companies just for the lulz. Honestly it is the most fun I have ever had blowing my stats to hell.
12 Churchill's = roughly 360 rounds per minute (as long have they all have 100% crews and rammers). It really is hilarious watching the enemies KV-1S's and T-150's try to aim when all of them are getting zinged with a shot everyone 1-2 seconds.

I see it spelled "turrent" all the time, and I don't think it's a keyboarding mistake, I believe many people honestly think the word is "turrent". To those people: the word is turret.

More likely an aneurysm. I frequently get close to one.
Turret face, OR the left side of glacis as you look at it (i.e the Crhuchill's right side) which is driver viewport.
I have killed several Churchills in my Churchill this weekend because THEY don't know the weakpoints of their own vehicle.
Otherwise? Loads of fun to play because you don't need to worry about expenses and, MOST importantly, you don't get bent over by utterly fail MM as you do in other tier 5-7 tanks.
It's refreshing to play something that is NEVER irrelevant (I've killed everything up to a KV-2 near solo on this weekend, and I don't use gold ammo). Imagine the fun we might all have if that were true of MOST tiers.
What a revolutionary idea.

The funniest response to this topic, posted a couple weeks ago, was a guy who said he just pounded it's weak-ass turret into submission. It works too. On my T14, I just load HE and aim right at its turret. The BDR though, I am going to load a handful of gold rounds this weekend, just to get the pen on it.

? the BDR can already penetrate a Church almost anywhere.

The KV-1 is still one of the toughest tanks, and now it has 3 good guns instead of 2. The high rof 57, the average rof good pen/damage 85, and the mini derp 122.
Just have to aim slightly high at the hull about between the turret and the hull. If you aim to low, it has a magical bouncy place that has even bounced the 100mm on my Type 59.
The two AP guns have higher pen than the Church and the 122 can 2-3 shot a church (and 1-shot anything below it in tier).
Unless you're sniping (for some reason) the Church will easily penetrate the AMX-40.
Yes the church can be lots of fun, but like the T14, cannot stand up against a half-decently played regular tier 5 tank.
The other day I was on the church, hunting a priest...ho ho ho.

I just bought a chuchill and thought I would be a nice tank (especially when its a premium tank), but I was surprised to see that it is undergun though it has a good armour. It cannot penetrate T1HT, it cannot penetrate Kv-1. When we generally go for battle, there r tanks of one or two tier higher tanks also, example - tier6 or 7. We cannot hit or even make minimal damage to them with churchill. I have PzIV also, with its derp gun I can make damage to tier8 tanks also. similarly, M4 sherman can also have derp gun. T14 is also one of the good tank with good armour and 75mm. In that scenario Churchill becomes insignificant. Churchill is not light or medium tank, its heavy tank, so its efficiency should be in face to face fight with other tanks. It cant stand in front of other heavy tanks of same tier or cant kill them just bcozz of undergun. Its a request to developers to raise the gun to atleast 75mm, or give option of chosing higher gun with churchill, otherwise whats the benefit of purchasing churchill? I am really dissapointed with this premium tank. Are other premium tanks also suffer with same type of inefficiency? then people should not buy them.

My most killed tanks in the Churchill are the Churchill and KV tanks (Both KV's before 7.3 and KV-1's now). That's because most players are afraid of these tanks or don't learn the weak spots, so I have to trudge halfway across the map (At 25kph no less!) just to take out said tank so we can win.
