What I've come to wonder about these two tanks is
The Char B1 has both a 47mm cannon in the Turret and a 75mm Howitzer in the hull and the M3 lee has a 37mm in the turret and a 75mm gun in the hull,
But, In game the Char B1 uses the 47mm as its weapon of choice, and the M3 Lee uses the 75mm as its weapon of choice, Considering their both Tier 4 Mediums, I wonder why theres the differential.

Because both guns are better at Anti Tank duty.
The Char B1 47mm fires AP rounds, whereas the 75mm howitzer fires HE, thus the 47mm better at AT duty.
Even though the M3 Lee 37mm is dedicated for AT duty IRL, the 75mm with AP has better pen thats why they use it.
Also, the B1 howitzer is a horrible gun, it cannot traverse side to side [Ok, maybe only 1 degree left and right] and can only elevate up and down.

And yet, it was a formidable gun for its time and opposition.
From wikipedia:
Quote
In direct meetings with German tanks the Char B1 usually had the better of it, sometimes spectacularly so as when on 16 May a single tank, Eure, frontally attacked and destroyed thirteen German tanks lying in ambush in Stonne, all of them Panzer IIIs and Panzer IVs, in the course of a few minutes. The tank safely returned despite being hit 140 times.
I suspect that it used both guns when doing this
Wargaming has said that they'll be putting in multi-gun functionality but I guess it's an "at some point in the future" feature.

Too many players complained about the M3 Lee, so when they made the B1, they let the players have it! LOL!
This is one of those times where the wise old saying "Be careful for what you wish for..." really applies.

The B1 was originally designed to be the old "classic" heavy mobile assault gun, with a big gun designed to take out fortifications (stug III was also originally designed to do this as well, with the short 75). When tank strategy started to change, they realized it needed a turret, so they slapped on a cheap one-man thing with a decent 47mm gun (10mm bigger than most tanks were equipped with, the 37mm from WWI).
The 47mm was the main anti-tank duty gun, (just like the 75mm M2/M3 gun later placed on the lee was) and was actually good enough to knock out any german tank at the time, while the german tanks couldn't penetrate the B1.
So instead of giving us, the players, a big, heavily armored, no turret tank with an inaccurate, slow reload 75mm how, they gave us the anti-tank gun on top instead. Same with the lee, instead of giving us a useless 37mm (the grant version didn't even have the 37mm, the british ripped it out and put a machine gun and the radio in the turret, eliminating a crewmember spot and the game files actually call it the grant, not the lee) they gave us the powerful for the time 75mm gun that would later see use in the M4.
