Game either hangs while loading the application, or after login while loading the game or when I click battle. It was doing this after patch so I did complete install and it still is happening. Never had a problem with the game before.
Guess I'll shelve the game for a while and come back next week to see if anything is resolved. 10,000 battle veteran signing off...

I have an issue also after loading the 7.4 patch.  I get a Critical Error and to check log file.  Like I know where that is.  This is not good.  Re-downloading the game to see if that will fix it.  Don't know what I will do otherwise.  Hope my clan brothers know a fix for this.  10,000+ battles and not able to play.  Premium Account also.

I had similar problems untill I deleted them and downloaded updated ones...

Im having the same problem. Right after the patch. Critical error. Error launching game client. See log file for more details.

my computer wont download anything, its just brings up a cannot connect to internet page and when i try from the launcher it brings up the critical error failed to download updates via HTTP the application cannot continue for details see log file, idk whats wrong but if anyone can help it would be appriciated

Game loads up to the garage menu.  Launches battle, hear the music, but screen stays black showing only the mouse cursor.

I have not tried this yet but I find it pretty lame that we have to reconfig our computers to make the game work after their patch.

Got it working.  Just needed to upload the new config for XVM and delete the gui mods folder.

It worked for me as well, just a couple (hopefully) useful notes. When accessing the 9 policy folder, use the highest numerical number, not the highest listed number, for changing the default registry number. In my case, it happened to be the former default number I had changed the previous time. As such, you may need to try once, fail, then use the previous default number (the second attempt's default number was different).

Ex. registry change
Default 9.0.43542.43

(Listed) 9.0.357678.20
    9.0.346746.34
    9.0.543243.13

Use 9.0.543243.89 as the replacement for the default number

Also, have 2007 MS Office w/o Access...didn't matter. Followed the Vista instructions to a successful resolution. Of course, the file listed as being in conflict on my event logs suggested following the 2007 portion wasn't correct, but I wasn't for sure until I tried it.(listed a "9" file, not an "8" file, as in the 2007 instructions...read the segment for clarification)

Also downloaded latest c++ for good measure, since several people believe it's partly to blame, but I doubt it'll have much of an effect.

It's been said, but I will say it again: good job wino43 on finding the solution, thus allowing me to re-enjoy my addicition and avoid reinstallation.

I have a problem after installing the 7.4 update the loading screen disappeared, I tryed to open World of tanks agian and it said World of tanks is already running when its not what do i do?
