Please make sure the players are good ones, not lemmings, not afkers, and most of all, don't let them get randomly disconnected or lagged out! Lol, but besides that, I have one question, Will the players be from NA/EU/RU or jusr RU, and this is a Russian developed game, and the players on the Russian server seem to play alot Funner, lol, as they don't camp nearly as much as the cowards in the NA server. And yes I know first hand, im not making it up.

I think situation are reverse/ RU server are filled with children, who either camp or do silly OLOLO attack (and die less than a minute). To me- NA server is funnier to play.
On topic - I think WoT is pretty imbalanced for cybersport discipline and have certain (USSR) tanks to perform generally better than same-level counterparts.

I'm pretty sure if you're going to go to CHINA, as in there's probably people going to travel halfway across the world to get there, you're not going to join a tournament match with your countries pride, your teams pride and expectations, and your own image on the line when this event is probably going to be broadcast over the internet in real time, possibly even on TV channels in Russia or China if it's big enough over there. If you can make it to the grand finals, then you deserved it through hard work, determination, skill (or luck of the RNG to some of you) and a number of other factors. You don't have to worry about AFKers and that ilk of the population. People who do tournaments do it for the real deal, fame and prestige. Not just to do it (although there are those out there).
