Dat Turret!

Dat 128mm main gun!

Dat 220mm thick front plate!

Dem Royalties that would have to be paid to use this design! >_<  (people seem to get REALLY hung up on this one)

Someone made this up... someone brilliant. Someone at WG could have done something similar... I honestly believe that. They gave us a great foundation of a game to play off of.... they could have come up with something as brilliant as this tank design and label it a Panther III Concept.

but some track covers on that and i would love it :)

Schurzen (skirts) are an upcoming purchasable option supposedly.

Front hull looks a bit more angled, exhaust hopefully means better engine.

Other than that, it looks identical to normal E-50. I assume it will have some more HP.

You know...now that I look at it for 5 mins it does just look cleaned up with tiny tiny tiny details changed on some spots like the front turret plate welds and the pipes in the back and a longer cannon (little bit longer). Still hope for more Horse POWAAAH!

Who cares what the tank looks like as long as it kicks ass and takes names.

Cool tank, sounds like a great idea for a contest.

I don't think you got the right tank. That clearly is the E-50, not the Ausf M.

No, there's slight differences

Like the upper track guards on the E-50 are sloped down going back, while the Ausf M has a consistent distance from the upper edge. You can also see the turret is slightly forward and the Ausf M does have new exhaust pipes.

I will admit that the model leaves something to be desired, but if it performs like it's been implied(lower profile, same armor levels, greater effective armor, faster speed, slightly better gun) I'm still excited for it

Also Sean, the meds still have to be a gun class lower than the heavies. Even if the Zekke was put in as a T10 Medium, a 128mm is too strong.

The gun model is longer. Wonder what does it mean!?

Same turret, same gun, same chassis. Wow, so cool.

Never really understood this, but I guess if you want to drive an overweight, experimental, expensive, logistically idiotic, poor performing vehicle (heavy tank) it needs a big gun on it that the other tanks aren't "allowed" to have so the driver feels "special".

Maybe when they make the game historically accurate, that will include the cost expense it took to drive a heavy for 10 minutes (or a med for a week).  If the cost of running a top tier heavy isn't about 100x more expensive than a medium tank, then the med drivers are getting ripped off in armor, armament, ammo cost and hit points.

On topic, it is still an E-50, just a variant, did anyone really expect it to look much different?

They did clearly redesign the hull, but it looks too clean compared to the current tanks, which generally look like they've been driven out in the field for a month or so.

A historically accurate game would have maybe 5 players....no one would like it.

People expected a whole different tank I suspect... not just a modification of the same hull.

The KV-1, KV-2 split was necessary because of the radially different turret, but there were differences in main gun as well. The E-50 and E-50M will basically be the exact same tank with the transmission moved. No armor changes, no gun changes, no turret changes.

Will there be an HP change? Will that be enough when it bumps up to tier 10? Will the current tier 9 get a battle-tier trim to reflect being a "lesser" tank with just the transmission in the forward position?

That's the beef most people are addressing. It just feels like the same Burger with the pickles UNDER the meat rather than on top of it.

Just an E-50 with a few more hps guys, nothing more or less. Still awful camo, still very fragile. Sit back and snipe, this time with higher matchmaking!

Why have any beef at all when we don't know what its stats are going to be yet.

Why does it matter if it looks similar.

Don't see the point in tier 10 meds if all they get is a HP buff and slighty different look and config.

All I see in the new E-50 is HE killing the guys sitting below the turret.

Would have been nice to get some accleration, travers and rate of fire mini buffs.

They already announced the guns.  I don't remember if any tier 10 med is getting a better gun than an elite tier 9, but I'm to lazy to dig up the post.

They announced names of the guns

not clearly defined stats

for instance the stugs 170 is still being tested and is subject to change

ergo

we dont know the stats

Turret is moved towards the front, front drive sprocket is smaller -> rear transmission.

I thought German tankers thought this was a huge advantage? What am I missing?
