Thought I should share a few weird/unusual weapons/tanks/vehicles mainly from WW2 and have others add other oddities to this thread. Enjoy. (Please dont add artwork or sci-fi vehicles-just genuine unusual pictures)

What about that artillery piece that shot the nuclear warhead with an effective kill radius larger than the range of the gun? I cannot find that thing, will look for a pic.

Found some stupid Nuclar delivery systems.

One of the saddest truths of humanity is the rule that says "If it exists, we've made war with it".

Only lesser known is the one that says "If it exists we've made art with it."

Some of these are both. I especially like

with the guy that looks like "I have no idea what I'm doing here".

What about that stupid little thing the brits made where two soldiers lie down on it and drive it. It looked like a fast go cart of death or a board with wheels?

This is where the USA came up with the B2 Spirit. In fact, many believe that defected Nazi scientists brought a prototype of the Horton Flying Wing to America for testing.

This would make a great TD if it werent for the fact the gun is fixed in a reward-facing position. Yes, that means the side shown is the REAR of the tank. This tank was developed so that the tank could retreat while still firing.

The Finnish captured BT-2s and BT-7s during their war with Russia. They then used them as mobile Gun Carriages.

Walter J. Christie used BT models as a test for the Christie suspension when he advertised the system to the USSR and Stalin. Notice that this is likely a BT-2 model.

The british Archer followed the same design principle and has been confirmed for release alongside the other brit TD's when they finally emerge. AFAIK the devs haven't decided yet whether they'll make driving-in-reverse (with the gun forward) the standard movement, or just have the thing drive forward with the gun thus facing backwards.

Archer was a Valentine chassis with a 17 pounder mounted. Fun fact: the breech of the 17 pounder would recoil into the space where the driver's head normally was, during firing.

If the archer has gearbox like the old Ferret armored car it would be able to drive 'backwards' just as fast as it can 'forwards' so the difference would be mute.
As for the driver.....I think they should leave that feature in as a deterrence to firing on the move.......as  soon as you fire your driver gets killed, nice.
