CHAPTER 14 (unless anyone posts a new chapter in their stories, I'm afraid that I'm the last WoT chronicle standing.... :Smile_ohmy:)

"Who are you and what do you want?"

"Me? names aren't important."

He wore an almost crazy grin, and spoke with a very heavy german accent. the room was dark, so I couldn't quite make out body features. I could tell this guy was tall, and that's about it.

The lights turned on.

the interrogator was tall, blonde, and had a bandage on his left cheek.

"are you hungry?"

That was odd.... I thought interrogations were supposed to be as brutal as possible....

"That's very strange coming from an interrogator."

The interrogator whistled a few times, and then came an assistant. (I'm guessing on this one)

In the assistant's hands was a plate of sandwiches.

The interrogator untied me and said, "Feel free to take one."

"I thought you were supposed to ask questions......"

The interrogator laughed.

He then gestured me to take one.

I cautiously took one.

He set down the plate of sandwiches.

"I don't know why I'm holding you anymore. The war is essentially over. there are rumors that the führer has killed himself. The russians are in control of Berlin."

"Then why are you here? shouldn't you be fighting the soviets?"

"I was. just a few days ago a KV-2 let me go. the Scheißkerl nearly got me."

It was then I realized something: The sandwich was gone. I had subconsciously ate it.

I started to feel drowsy, and then I fell asleep.

They must have hid some sort of sleeping pill into the sandwich....

sneaky.

"Commander! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WAKE UP!"

It was the gunner.

"OH MY GOD AM I GLAD TO SEE YOU!"

"Where the hell were you? we thought you was dead!"

more familiar voices. It was the driver this time.

I was back at "home"

"How'd you get back here?"

"We found a radio and send a distress signal. Hans and his crew picked us up."

"Then how the hell did I get here?"

"Some tiger with the number 217 on it dropped you here."

"We were about to open fire when he opened the hatch and dragged you out."

I got up, and I felt something in my pocket.

It was another sandwich wrapped in tin-foil, but with a note.

It read:

"Just as a KV-2 had spared me, I have decided to spare you. auf windersehen american."

hmmm.. I found it funny how he made no remarks about my race.

It also restored my faith in humanity. even in a battlefield, kindness prevails.

"Wait... HOW THE HELL DOES HE KNOW THE LOCATION OF OUR HQ?"

CHAPTER 15

The M18 was trashed. well, guess we'll have to take turtle for a while.

Speaking of our hellcat, we ought to get something bigger.. with more Armour......

I flipped through the books.

T25/2? needs a bigger gun.....

T28 Prototype... T28? where have I heard that before?

hmmm...

OH RIGHT! the T95's predecessor was the T28. but the prototype had a turret.

"NOTE: The T28 Prototype had the curious distinction of having the turret only being able to turn 180 degrees. "

Well... if we want a turret, might as well have it turn 360 degrees.

hmmmm... T30? I thought that was a heavy tank.....

"The T30 was recently re-classified as a Tank Destroyer...."

funny.. looks like a Heavy to me!

"How are we going to make it though..."

"Make what commander?"

it was the gunner.

"Take a look!"

"hmm.. the T30?"

"yeah"

"Well, we could always take a T29, and add on a T34's turret, then somehow find a 155mm gun."

"How the hell did you come up with that in 5 seconds?"

"It says here that the T29, T30, and T34 are all developed at the same time, and are related."

The gunner's thinking skills were superb, but he lacked some other skills. He can calculate bullet drop and solve any sort of puzzle you throw at him, but sometimes has trouble talking with other people. I guess you can say that he's shy, but he tries to hide it.

"then where would we find that stuff?"

"We found our T95 here didn't we? I'm sure this guy had some more tanks.."

So we walked.

We found a T29 with suitable condition. the turret was practically falling apart though.

We found gun parts for a 155mm gun... presumably to repair the T95.

This guy had a lot of stuff.

He had a T34, but the hull was busted. great for us!

We started construction the next day.

"Don't you find it kinda scary how this guy has all the things we want?"

"yeah... but let's just take it as good luck."

"LOWER THE TURRET!"

"LEFT! LEFT! A BIT MORE... RIGHT! SET IT DOWN... GENTLY..."

EEEEEEEEEE..... CRACK!

"uhhh commander, the suspension's damaged..."

The gunner and loader were arguing over who broke the suspension.

We ended up just placing the T34's suspension onto the T29's hull.

The tracks held up decently... scratch that... the new suspension was about to break.

I mentioned that the T34's hull was busted... the suspension was relatively untouched. relatively.

We borrowed parts from the T29 and managed to get it to hold up.

There was an unknown part to the 155mm gun.

The loader recognized it.

"SWEET! that's an automated gun rammer!"

We mounted the gun on the T30.

Now our Franken-T30 was complete.

It had taken us about a week.

That night, something strange happened.

Note: Sorry for the short chapter and the absence of a battle scene. trust me, there will be more battle scenes later.

I'm still here! Nice way of building a T30, by the way!

I don't know if you know this, but the Terrible 30 did indeed have an automatic gun rammer in real life.

I check the fan art forums every day to look for new fan writing. I often browse this topic. Don't worry, just because people don't reply, doesn't mean they don't like your writing. Personally, I like this better than any other fan writing (no offense to Alphaandomega and Cheeselama). Its not your skill, no, not your skill, it's the creativity. I love it, there is always something new in here. First we come with the diverse crew, then the little kids who ambushed the tank, and now this - a "franken-T30" as you said. Keep up the good work!

the most creative or interesting answer that I think will go somewhere will get turned into a chapter... or, I will think of something and make chapter 16.

CHAPTER 16 (Short, but I really am having a hard time thinking up stuff)

EEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRWWWWWWW!

THUMP!

I woke up.

I was the only one awake.

I looked up. Some bombers of unknown origin were flying away.

In front of me, was a giant wooden crate. Seriously, this thing was as big as some of the cargo gliders I've seen back in training.

I really had no idea what was in it, or why it was dropped here, but there was a giant crate just sitting in front of me.

I went back in to search for a crowbar, and when I came back out, the box was opened... weird...

I peered inside.

It was a tank!

but I haven't seen anything like it.

It looked strangely american, but different.

The turret was flat on the front, but the side and rear armor of the turret was angled outwards.

markings included red-white-red lines.

The next morning, the tank had driven away.

CHAPTER 17: A taste Of Soviet Armour

I woke up to the sound of an engine. It was midnight.

"I must be hearing things.. the rest of the crew aren't even awake."

But the engine was getting louder and louder. It really started to bug me.

I took my garand and a few anti-tank grenades and went out.

I saw a tank park, and then some silhouettes hopped out, and walked southward.

Strange...

after staying around half and hour, and with nothing happening, I went back to base, but couldn't sleep.

When morning came, The mystery tank was still there.

I knew immediately that it was a tank destroyer - no turret.

The red star signified it was soviet, but why was it sent here?

The rest of the crew soon joined me, and we went to investigate.

The hatch was unlocked, and with pistols drawn, we hopped in.

The tank was void of crew, and seemed brand new.

We found a user's manual. The radioman translated from russian: SU-122-54

"Well, no one's claiming it, so I guess we'll take it in."

We went to work trying to learn the controls (with the radioman translating the manual the best he could).

we eventually just took a marker and wrote on masking tape what a switch did, then, sticking the masking tape above the switch.

Following the checklists, we cautiously started the engine.

This thing went fast!

The gun didn't slouch either. it was 122mm.

We took aim at a tree.

BOOM!

It took out a few trees behind it too.

Speed, Firepower, I was really starting to like this tank. It didn't have the protection of say, turtle, but it got the job done.

To be honest it felt kinda like christmas.

We parked the Su-122-54, hid it, and went back to base to rest a bit.

Then, something hit me.

What if this was directed towards us?

What if someone was watching us, and decided to deliver a gift?

Could it be W.G? highly improbable.

My mind then raced to turtle, and then our franken-T30.

what if the parts were all planted there by someone else, for us to discover and use?

Why would they send us stuff?

More importantly, who's sending this stuff?

Chapter 18:  (another short one  :Smile-hiding: )

EEEEERRRRRWWWWWWW

BAM!

a big jolt woke us up from our sleep.

Why does everything that happens to us happen at night?

outside, there were just mechanical parts everywhere.

Once we found a big chunk of a wing, we knew that this was a plane crash.

We searched around and then found an interesting suitcase with Russian written on it.

"Hey! Look over here! I think I've found a survivor!"

This came from Hans, who was also awoken and looking around.

She was laying there, unconscious. I was surprised she was female... it is very rare to find a girl in this war torn land.

She then uttered something in russian, but not knowing the language, I couldn't understand her.

She was blond, and her face was bloody and covered in mud.

We decided to take her in, and see what kind of secrets she would hold.

Why was she in an airplane? Where was she headed?

Why would the aircraft crash?

What was inside the suitcase?

Does she have ties with W.G.?

Chapter 19:

With the strange woman knocked out and sleeping, We pried open the suitcase.

Inside were US documents!

They talked about some "Manhattan Project" and some sort of bomb.

More intriguing was some scheme for some super soldier.

Why this was in a suitcase with russian on it? I have no idea.

"COMMANDER! WE'VE GOT COMPANY!"

We hopped into our franken - T30.

We pulled out to some pretty fierce opposition.

This was some international squad. They had some top tier French, American, and German tanks. They all had some sort of beast eating a tank as insignia.

"Target in sight!"

"FIRE!"

"Wait! Their commander hopped out. They're signaling for a cease fire!"

"Already? that was quick.."

The other commander casually walked up to our tank. He seemed to be unarmed.

I slowly popped out of our T30, but with a 1911 in hand just in case.

"Good day sir." This guy had some pretty good courage to be walking up to a tank.

"Good day I guess... now who are you?"

"I'm going to need you to come with us."

I drew out my pistol.

"Dude! chill! your just like that russian guy... Trust me.. just come with us... we need you."

"for what may I ask?"

"Are you acquainted with a little clan that goes by the name of  W.G.?" the strange commander inquired.

My mind raced to the factory.

"Yes, why yes I am. You don't happen to be an affiliate of them.."

"No, no no.. We, in fact, want the destruction of them."

After a bit more convincing, we decided to join them.

I asked the driver and the radioman to drive our T95, while I tried my hand at driving the T30. It was the only way we could get both tanks to where ever this strange commander is taking us.

The SU-122-54 will have to be picked up another time.

As for the woman, we gently placed her in our T30, as we just couldn't bring ourselves to let her fend for herself.

We set off, not sure as to where we were going, or who we just made and alliance with.

"Oh, and by the way.." This was the strange commander talking over the radio.

"You can call me Boyesen. Welcome to Yayax Squad!"
