Maybe for about 15 seconds or so, than we get to run off to a place so we can spend 35-40 seconds reloading.

But yes having a full drum and targets to pick away at my mouse goes *clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick*

It isn't really like that...although it may seem like it to a slow firing heavy tank.

If you exchange fire with a patton or some other high tier med you'll probably kill them but they'll mess you up pretty good. The french tanks only really shine when the other tank isn't shooting back at you. IE you've flanked him or have shots at range. The ones that just fly in and sit there in front of you tend to be very short lived. Even playing peek-a-boom with other tank can go bad. You have no armor and take so much damage from every shot.

To really do well in a french tank you have to pick your battles very carefully so the enemy tank isn't or can't shoot back. It's a lot harder than it sounds, but if you're good at your tank is very " OP "..the trick of course is being good at it....most people are not.

Your GIF would be correct if after 4 or 6 shots it pauses for 45-60 seconds before continuing

It don't work quite that way especially in the mediums and heavies. You stand and fire you drum all at one time and you usually get hammered and dead because you draw fire from everywhere.

Two more tiers and you will find out how wrong you are. While the 12t, 13 75, and the stock gun of the 13 90 reload fairly quickly, they all require you to be able to count to 6 and know when to run. Usually, it's best to run after the second shot unless you want to test the protective properties of your tin-foil armor. There are occasions where you can unload a full six-round drum, but that will leave you totally unarmed for up to a minute, depending on the tank and it's crew's skill.

Now, the M8A1, and anything with a ZiS-4 can fire faster than an AMX 13, and doesn't reload every six shots; if you want to spray shells that can actually penetrate and do damage, get yourself a 57mm.

Before you comment you might want to actually get a French tank and try it out.  Yes they have a pretty god rate of fire, not as fast as you think though, but the reload takes 35-45 seconds.  Longer if you have damage.  On my 13 90  I regularly loose my gun to damage, have my turret jammed, loose vision, loose a crew member or are tracked.  In fact after 76.4 and the HE buff I commonly have all the above after just 1 hit.  The fast French tanks have thinner armor and can't choose ammo, If I want HE and I have AP loaded im the magazine then I have to totally unload and reload the magazine.  Thats about a minute.  MM always pits fast French tanks against higher tier opponents.

Get yourself a AMX 12t and try it out.
