There's a reason why I generally avoid the German tank sub-forums despite enjoying many of the German tanks...

The QQ here makes the American tank sub-forums seem upbeat and enthusiastic by comparison (if you don't understand how bad that is do a search for "T32").

The reason why there is so many german tanks is so the french tanks can dominate them all.

The US has the CHRISTIE TANK which none of other has
And the Russia tree can jump away between the MT and TD in Tier 8 if you go OBJ416 ,
KV-2 can research a Tier 6 arty with OBJ212 gun

Each nation tech tree has something special, it is not a bias

In the US army there was some rule saying you have to clean your M16 3 times a day. You can leave the AK47 freezing out in the mud and it will still fire.

I've used both. I clean them equally. You don't need to clean your M16 3 times a day. You leave an AK outside in the freezing mud and it will jam every single time.

Have you used both?

Dates do not make a tank obsolete. Think of the M48 as an AK-47 and the Leopard 1 as the M16, both are great weapons and are equal even if the M16 was made 15 years later.

You've obviously never fired an AK.  Tell you what:  you get theAK, I get the 16.  We'll face off at 500m, with three rounds each.  Hope your life insurance policy is up to date.  :Smile_veryhappy:

a weapon is only as accuret as the person behind it.. JFK was hit with one of the most unreliable rifles in history, the Carcano.. just as an example.
having used both AK47 and M16 I still put my money on the M16.. shes old as dirt but so is the AK and that vaunted rep it gets is for compeating against the A1, an A2 and up will spank the AK47/74 like theres no tomorrow..
now if your talking about the AK100/107 shes a mean beast no doubts there..

Just wanna say, the M16 was a terrible assault rifle. :) Lots of GI's in Vietnam picked up AKs.

The M-16 is an excellent platform and outperforms the AK-47 in most aspects as a rifle. The reason why few had been reported to have used the AK-47 out of the millions who served was because the early M-16s often jammed because the army changed the powder in hopes of saving money, and failed to issue cleaning kits. The powder caused the mechanism to build up carbon deposits which clogged the hammer and other components, which couldn't be maintained because the stock had no kit inside. It took 6 months before the proper rounds had been delivered and kits issues (even with a fun little lime instruction guide for the young men to look at). Because  the fact the M-16 achieved a significantly higher kill ratio, US troops often found themselves low on ammunition and had been forced to turn the enemy's weapons against them. This was frowned upon because the AK-47 made a very distinctive sound and US soldiers sometimes fired blindly into the jungle toward the sound of the weapon in hopes of hitting something As one can imagine, soldiers who picked up the AK-47 where not poplar when the company behind them opened up in there direction. There had been two other reasons as well, raiding the cleaning kit, and souvenirs. Many AK-47s in the US are derived from Vietnam when soldiers sent back the weapon as a trophy, despite the officaly strict rules against such things.

After that first year of tweaks and ensuring the weapon and issued to correct gear, it had been trouble free. Yet the same can be said of the AK-47, when it was first introduced it had all sorts of issues, but had the luxury of not being shoved into a war before they could be worked out.

So it okay for the German tree to have obsolete tanks, the same obsolete tanks from last year, and it's okay for everyone else to have tanks from the 50s, but as soon as the Germans get a tank that is for once ahead in time compared to other nations, you are going to whine about this 'German Bias' which doesn't exist, and you will summon the nerfbat for the Leo 1. People like you are the reason WG nerfs German tanks to the point where they are un-playable.

Stop whining and learn to play the game, what are you gonna say next hmm?

GERMAN TANKS HITS ME FROM 400+ METERS AWAY! GERMAN BIAS!!!!11!1!1!!!11!!

There were also problems with barrel and chamber corrosion IIRC because the first rifles didn't have chrome linings...

And as a veteran, given a choice, I'd choose a M-16 over and AK-47, AKM or AK-74.

Developers plan to add many German tanks because they know people will play to get them and in the process, buy premium and premium tanks.By adding more of these ''cool'' prototype tanks they basically hope to earn more money. Almost all games are basically investments. All WG wants is money, and they will do anything to get more of it.
