I only recently got my Chaffee so it isnt upgraded fully where it is most effective, but I'm looking firward to using it when it becomes the little terror it promises to be.

:Smile_honoring: I run Chaffee with 2-skill crew. Now I can work my way to 3 skills while making good credit.

Unfortunately the Chaffee is the, well, judge urself. Quite often its put in as a scout with the big boys, your up against amx13's, Types, patton, t-54 ect ect. These tanks can go quicker or just as quick as the chaffee and have much more firepower...... so what was the point again........

If i was a commander selecting my tanks for a conflict, i would certainly choose any of those mentioned instead of the chaffee. This is a very useless tank in those battles. You will get the occasional battle where you can run riot, but these are rare.

The Vk2801 has much better speed but with a crappy turning circle. Its way to big for a light, just sit it next to an Is-3 Heavy and youll see. Makes for an easy target.

Now the T-50-2 just rocks, small, fast and what makes it the best by far is the turning speed.

Bwahahahaha hahahaha!

This is amazing. I love my Chaffee, not as a scout but as the ultimate combat light tank. Heck, I've taken on AMX 13's and come out unscratched. Now the ability to make extra credits is just lovely.

What advantage do you or anyone else reading this think the Chaffee has over the T-50/2, if any?

What happened to bonuses that reward all of your dedicated players no matter what tank they drive? The Bonuses for D-Day and Bagration (not to mention Barbarrosa which started three years earlier) were next to valueless. It would be nice if we all could earn either experience or credits to help them get some of the nice new tanks that you've introduced. With all of the new tanks that you're planning to introduce in the future, not many of us are going to run out of new tanks to collect.

The Chaffee's advantages lie with its gun. It has nearly perfect on the move accuracy (with perks and equipment it truly has almost no reticle bloom), as well as a very high DPM and medium pemetration gun. It's a 76mm like on the M4A3E8 Easy 8, but superior in almost every way.

It also has great close range handling....turns very fast and accelerates quickly. The Chaffee performs well as a brawler, able to kill tanks many times it size. Imagine a tank with a gun somewhere between the 90mm and 75mm on the AMX 13 90, but firing just as fast without the drum reload, mounted on an even faster handling tank, and better on the move accuracy.

IF you want to scout, the Chaffee also has superior camo and view range over the other two scouts if I recall. Get it into a bush and you'll have no problem lighting up the enemy.

need a special on the T-50-2! If this tank wasnt so much fun to play, no one would ever play it, it loses so much money!

Nice!
I love my Chaffee...but it is a damn hard tank to not onlly drive well, but to just survive in!(And its costly to run @9k repair cost + ammo & consumables)
But if used well....its deadly!! (and always underated by most...which I use to an advantage ;) )
Its also one of the coolest looking tanks in the game!
Thanks for the added coin WOT

Because the chaffee has the biggest bite out of all the tier 5 light tanks as well as being able to fire very accurately on the move. You can pound away at the side armor of a king tiger at full speed from 200-300 meters.

I would be constantly playing my Chaffee even without this bonus, so this is just icing on the cake! Sweet, delicious icing...
