like title and description says, Im tired of having my engine blown to shit and being restrained to 7km/h with a 1km/h rotation speed. It sucks, sure you can use repair kit but it only lasts for 2min and often Ive already used it or is waiting for the ammo racks to break..

Anyway why does the VK4502s engine breakdown on front hits? I mean surely the engine is supposed to be in the back. Its very frustrating at times.

Engine is not only engine ,it includes drive shafts and transmission as well. Also bear in mind that if projectile has enough energy to go through your frontal armor then it has enough energy to go through entire lenght of tanks, maybe even to exit so it can easy destroy and kill all that is on his path.

With next patch developers will tweak this a bit so "frontal hit - engine dead" will not be so common.

Funny how German tanks have two spots, the back and the front, to hit to damage engines.

I'm not sure where the engine is in the Vk4502 really, but I do know that when a shell hits a tank it doesn't just bounce off, Sometimes it penetrates and travels into and sometimes right through the tank. So its very possible to hit a tank in the front and the shell will travel through the tank and disable the engine at the back of the tank.

I know they are reducing how much a shell will travel into a tank in a future patch, So this damage will be reduced soon.
So it will be happening less soon.

And yes a VK4502 with a blown engine is difficult to drive. I usually get about 10-12km/h max on the flat, and as low as 1km/h while turning.

That's what I meant. Just that the game does not call it transmission damage. So yeah, German tanks can get engine damage from the front and the back.

As I reported in my thread, engine hits on Aufs B is bad.
But then I realized, 'hey your already slow as *BLEEP*, doesn't matter if you lose half that speed, your still not going anywhere'.
